After looking closer at them, I'm wondering if Delrin material with some channels milled into the bottoms to add in holding a side hill angle would work. What are your thoughts? The Delrin material could even be double bent to provide a higher clearence underneath . | |

I got some pics of the 3PKs radio, This thing is Awesome. Like Harley stated, the 3PK can do everything the 4PK can just with 3 channels. I can't wait to get the 2nd FXR in and start mixing motor profiles. No need to change out pinions, just program the throttle for each motor and "work" the clod stall to your advantage.

Changed up the radio system again, got another 3PK with the spectrum modual and 3 recievers. Now my Fun Buggy and slash can all run off the same radio. I'll post up some new picks when they come in, but I've re-positioned some of the electronics and will be putting the reciever on the top of the tray. This will give me more room to manuver the battery in and out of the chassis. I'll be sticking with the dig switch's for now since I've lost a weeks worth of income due to the Dumb chick how rear ended my truck not having valid ins. (that's another rant) so I'm trying to get back to speed. I did how ever, wire up the new servo with a Y splicer, so that the BEC powers only the servo. just need to bump it up to 7.4v now. The ESC now powers the micro servo for the dig. messed around the living room today and I'm pretty happy with it. I just cant get to my rocks since I've got about 14"s of snow on my play area. |

Got some pics taken today (nothing else to do since I'm home from my accident all week) I fabbed up a slick battery tray that attaches to the top of the skid and then bends up and attaches to the front of the chassis. Velcro helps keep it in place. Also one of the pics shows where I clearenced the axle flange to give full swing of the servo arm. And last but not least, I got a pic of the Yellow X-locks mounted up, and sitting on my work stand. Last edited by Krakker; 12-10-2009 at 05:31 PM. |

| Thanks, I knew when I started my TAG that I wanted to place a narrow battery in the chassis. I'm runnin' 2170mah 25C Flight power batts. Perfect fit and long run times. It looks close, but there's room for the axle to cycle and clear the battery tray. Yeah its up "slightly" higher than the axle, but it's forward and centered. Thank you, it's really easy actually. I gave it a layer of the main color then used a squished up plastic grocery sack and pressed it all around inside the body. Then just hit it with the silver to give it that marbled look. The detail (skulls) and lettering are T1E paint masks. Very nice stuff!! |

"Recieve your sight, you have been healed." haha. Yeah, what a difference a quality picture makes. Just stay away from porn, or you'll go blind again. |

Modded the axles finally. I ran'm down on the lathe till I felt happy with them. There is a ton of material left, so I'm not worried about them being weak. Don't have a scale, but they are noticably lighter. I was going to just use a grinder for where the link spot was but I figured It might help with holding the rig from sliding sideways of hung on a rock. I might do this to the front long tube or perhaps just mill the location where the steering arm is on the Xertics mount. Weight difference from front to back is noticable. NOTE: 53Willy's, has also done this mod. You can judge by the screw holes on the axle how much was taken off, but "truely", there is a TON of beef still left that you don't see unless you take the tube off and look down the inside. You could probably completely take out the screw holes, you'd just need to leave room at the end for the bearing.(which would be covered anyway by the wheel/tire. You're talking strong metal here, just think about how thick an Axial case is, or Losi MOA conversion. They are using plastic axles and getting away with hard tumbles.
