Hi, I searched by couldn't find any info on it. Has anyone used it yet? Cheaper alternative to Punk Dig?

Still waiting on the big brown truck for mine but best I can tell from the pics they are nearly the same thing. At least the part number on the relays is the same as the punk switch.

Once I get mine I'll be sure to let ya'll know how it works. "thumbsup"

Would like feedback on this dig unit as well.

X2 was thinking of getting a extra punk to have but I could get 2 of these. I wonder if it will let the wheels go into full lock when in in high bite areas unlike my punk.

I run a beta version on my rig with one ESC and DX3r...it works well"thumbsup"

I like ran a beta also...with no issues. Key is to adjust endpoints to dial in.

Clean set up...

With mine...and it was a beta...I just automatically did it and it worked great. Not sure if you really need to...

you do need to have your EPA's set right on a punk dig aswell..least thats how my punk dig is...

landtortise89 03-18-2010 11:44 AM

so i could just hook it up and go then like i could with a punk. thanks

On my dx3r, from 0-150% on the aux epa's, the punk will start working around 50%. Anything below that and it will not switch. But on a modded tq3, with no epa's, arent they gonna be like 100% each way basically? Thats why using one on a servo will make it throw the servo all the way both ways? I would think one of these or a punk would work with out epa's on a modded tq3.

so does it matter what you have your aux epa's set at? or as long as it swithces all is gravy?? just dont wana burn nothing up. .. .

slowngreen 03-19-2010 12:45 PM

I dont think it matters. I have mine on 150% just because but I dont see it making a difference.

That's cool that there is another dig unit out now, but a 30 day warranty kinda sucks. It will be a nice cheap backup though.

IMO, that is a generous warranty. With most electronics, once you get it in your hands, the warranty is expired...

True... I was more leaning towards the "if it breaks you send it in to get fixed"... which is different from a warranty. Usually after shipping charges you pay around $15-$20 bucks for your unit to be repaired. With a new unit not being too much more expensive than that, I wonder if it is even worth it.

JeremyH 03-19-2010 02:23 PM

Ahh....I see what you are getting at. Yeah, sometimes I just avoid the hassle and buy a new one when something of mine breaks...

prophetz 03-19-2010 03:20 PM

I have been looking at this for a few weeks. Just never pulled the trigger on buying it. But a spare dig would be nice to have. When I start thinking about it, $35.00 isnt bad, I have waisted more money on less:mrgreen:

landtortise89 03-22-2010 09:46 AM

Well i pulled the trigger sunday morning and ordered mine we'll see how it works out
