Default My girls Husker Bully

My girl loves crawling and Husker football, and wanted a Bully rig of her own, SO, I got a Rock Show chassis and HC links from one of Novas Ark's sales. The upper links are R2j Kustoms that I sleeved with Bic pen bodies to keep the look clean. (I just ordered some Traxxas Revo push rods that will replace them tho)
The Axles are my first cast Bully's with the turned down rear tubes and the front will soon get the "53 Willy's" steering mod. I'm also looking for some Slash front shocks (4 of'm) Not sure which parts will get the dye job, we might just use some XXX picture glue and make some panels for it. She's a defense fan, so it might just get the Jolly Roger on it for the Blackshirts defense scheme.

Electronics will be an FXR, Hitech 7950, CC BEC and the "hopefully" NEW version of the Rocker Dig when it gets figured out. (word is it's going to be soon) Thanks RC4WD.
From the looks of it so far, I might have to do a bit of bending on the links to get them a slight bit more room at the gear case and motor for the way I like'm to be. She's got the choice of wheels with my new Eritex white Delrin six holes and Red DNA stalkers.

Heres the mock up so far.

Your girl must want the Eritex wheels, DNA's would ruin the look!

Yeah, it's pretty bright at the moment. Here's her wheel choices and a clue to the theme she wants.

Trying out some Slash rear shocks for now. I've got my Krakker springs on them and did the drive shaft yoke mod. (pretty slick really) I chucked'm up in the lathe to cut'm off then did the drill treatment. I'm liking these for the rear, but i'm going to do the cap mod to some Slash fronts, for the front. Nice and light weight too.
So far this chassis looks to be a pain in the A$--$ to mout the eletronics into AND be able to replace the batteries. (I might have to get smaller batts for this one.)

Hi Krakker,

Can you tell how the sripped rear tubes hold (ab?)use? Also, I'd be interested to know how much lighter they are now, the 53willys's topic tells only the CNC'd tubes weight.

Not sure on the tubes weight, I'll have to weigh them next time I do a set or revamp these. They are super thick to begin with. even after turning them, they are plenty strong. There's just enough clearence to get the axle shaft through. I believe I have these at the same dia. as the Hex's.

Very nice Rory! What do you think about the T1E chassis? Been eyeballing it for a future build. But undecided on bodiless or body.

Quality is top notch and the cuts/holes are clean. The rear links are pretty nice as well as the front semi H/C links. All things concidered, it's kinda like the Rover whites of the bodiless chassis world.
A guy in our club (who's leading our summer series) is running a black version with Bergs. I've watched him totally beat the crap out off his rig and the chassis has held up with out a hitch. Not sure how many body panels he's had to replace but the chassis is still roll'n.
I know the double bent links will give more room, so I might be in the R2j store in the near future.
Hope that answers your question Shon.

Been a LONG time since I had time or parts to work on this thing, but this past couple days I've managed to get the electronics wired in, BEC's set, gear cases shaved and the rear steering axle assembled with the 53Willy's servo mount. She's getting the spaced out front axle set from my PRO thread with a 7955 rear servo and a 7950 front servo.
