Default New shocks for bully?

I was thinking to buy new shocks for my bully. I have watched these cheap ones:

http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/rc-dam...i-p-25330.html

Does someone have those? I would like to hear good and bad things about these.

I"m sure you could get them to work with the right oil and spring combo.
Making sure they seal good can be done.

I think shock set up is more important than what brand you run, although I'm partial to the Traxxas big bores just because of how they hold the springs I use and their slim profile.

This thread doesn't necessarily belong here bully forums.. But I had YH 100mm shocks, and they sucked. Like the first 2 months they were good (w/shock end mod , white springs, 25wt oil etc.), but later they leaked like hell and didn't cycle like a good shocks do. The good part of them was that they were 100mm long, nowadays I use losi shocks..such a huge difference. You micro could invest in 3.5" Big Bores or Duratrax's 3.5 inchers made famous by T1E drivers.

I use the Yeah Racing shocks posted above with losi springs and the caps modified, they still don't leak after 1 year of use.

The "Ti" gray colored shocks use smaller than normal springs, and I would not recommend.

I am on my 2nd rig with Yeah Racing shocks and have had no problems with them, great shocks for the money IMO.

dont listen to this guy about "this not being a bully subject" thats a dumb thing to write.
anyway, those shocks look real nice and you cant go wrong with the price.. although, i have found that when it comes to shocks, you kinda get what you pay for. but on the bright side, if you buy these and you dont like them, well your only out 12 bucks a set rather then 40 or 50 bucks a set..let us know how they work out man. Ya never know, this could be the next big trend...CHEAP SHOCKS THAT WORK! i like it..
oh ya... and thanks for posting in the bully section, me as a bully owner might want to pick up a set of these if they work out ok for you.. let us know!

Those are the ones JP custom includes in his Havoc Pro builds, so they must work a lease a bit..

Thanks for aswers. The main thing is that they don´t leak. I think that I am going for these shoks. These can´t be worse than my sparks. They leaks so much that I dont have oil in em .

DON'T buy them, you remember how awful my rig once was because of those shocks (well that's not the main reason to cause the awfulness, but still!) !? And what do you micro even do with your crawler when it's winter? Yes, i know the Nokia indoor comps, but it sucks anyways. Raise some money and buy good stuff, cheap and good product is 2 different things.

And JP team drivers run with them? so what, read the TEAM DRIVER part first.

JP does not make his own shocks, he merely sells them. I have the choice to run WHATEVER shocks I choose. I run Yeah Racing shocks because I drive my rigs very hard (borderline abusive) and have never had a problem with them. If you guys want to spend more $, then feel free. I will put my extra $ toward other items.

Those Yeah Racing Shocks are pretty stiff for being a small shock, especially the blue and gold springs. Seems like the quality is good, especially for low the price. Right now I'm trying a set of these

A little more expensive but a much smoother shock IMO is the traxxas shocks.
The bigbores are a little pricey but the stampede/rustler shocks are pretty much the same thing just not made out of Alum. and they are much cheaper.

I mounted my stock Losi shocks on my bully rig. They seem like a good fit, but a little long for my rig (just over 90mm eye to eye). I feel they are a tad stiff for my taste. I'll be looking to trade out the springs for something a little softer down the road.

I use the Losi crawler shocks with TCS internal droop springs. NOT IMPRESSED. That is unless you actually like haveing them leak, then they are great. I have a set of these right now that I am trying to mount up. Impression so far looks like they are going to be pretty stiff and I will need to make new upper links. Chaotic Demon chassis so it is pretty tight.
