| re: Stub's Dlux HALLSTYLE Thanks! Well an opportunity presented itself and i could not pass it up, so..........I am trading my XR for a super So the Bully will be my sol 2.2 comp rig. This makes me happy for to reasons mainly, i will have a super. Second, sense i got my Bully back and started driving it more i started realizing that it just works better for me. So here she is with my "TWIN STICK!!!" setup in it out of my XR. I think i am going to want to add some weight back somewhere because i am down to 5lb 2oz rtr now. I will see how it handles first. |

I think its kinda cool that youre going back. I like when guys can take the "road less traveled" and still hand ass. If you need some knuckle weight, let me know. |

Oh ya, Got a chance to take it out today for some testing and holy crap! I had forgot how good it worked with the 6ex, brood handwounds, and 2 fxr's. I can't wait for the comp this weekend. |

It would be cool if you could get the rear tubes to work on a bully. It might just be easier to start from scratch or a different starting point. Its really too bad there is not more demand for them. Kind of a conundrum. You guys want aftermarket but there is no support for it. |

Who has a weight for a Bully case? Empty or with gears. After chatting, you even have me thinking a Bully could be a good option!

A stock machined case is 2.92oz. That is what their site says anyway. But after you cut the top off and grind it down i would guess its close to 2 oz even. Bully Light Weight Gearbox (Black) It looks like the 2 piece gears are 97g/3.42oz undrilled and 73g/2.57oz drilled. But i would go with the 1 ipice gears because it eliminates any pins in the cases, the locker/spool are a machined piece. Lightweight Gear set for Super, XLD, and 2.2 Bully axles 1 piece gears. Heavy Duty Super Bully 2.2 XLD Gears Looks like it would put you right around 8oz with bearings. Is that heavy or average? Remember they are 6mm gears we are talking about. You are not breaking them. |

For a shaved, empty case a Berg is 1.5oz. You can actually knock another gram or two off that if you use my clear case covers. See above, not looking like it. The real question is: If youre performance minded, why stick with the Bully cases? Berg gears hold up great, all you need is a 3rd gear and youre off. If you really like the scrub that Bullies offer, let me know and I can make a set of shorter tubes. I cant see a single reason to stick with the Bully case other than money or if the Berg parts have availability issues (why I am looking at it). Honestly though, I think I would machine my own Berg case before I did a Bully at this point. Adding that much weight would kill me. | |

It was early when I posted that and after looking over it, I don't see where I got 8oz from? I will put my rear axle out tonight and weigh it compete just like yours in in the pic. There is no way I could be at 5lb 2oz if my cases and gears weigh that much. The bully has treated me great and I see no reason to switch. |

9oz even, so 1.8 oz heavier with Al tubes. Bullys come stock with 6mm shafts. What do your rear tubes weigh? Looked through my thread and i looks like my turned down tubes are 45.1g/1.59oz. Looks like i need to give the axle a little cleaning before i put it back in. |

Looks like we need some real world numbers. Any of the AL tubes I have weighed for the Berg come out atleast 1oz heavier, aftermarket or stock turned down. I bet you could shave atleast an ounce, maybe two? Its hard to tell since we dont know what your tubes weigh. Long side with lockout 22g Short side with lockout 15g So, 37g total for the tubes. FYI, my AL long side tube is 34g with C, just to show how much heavier AL is over delrin, and that AL tube is TINY! Much smaller than what you have or what anybody else offers. |

Is that as light as you can make the case? Can you shave or drill anything else? You should weigh the gear case so we know what it weighs. Doing some math,.... Berg case with bearings 45g Drilled 2nd gear 8g Drilled 3rd gear 9g 4th gear with RC bros locker 14g 76g not including the small 2nd or 3rd gear. Approx those at 5g for both so call it approx 81g? 2.86oz. Add upper link mount 9g and thats still only 3.17oz. |

| re: Stub's Dlux HALLSTYLE Bully PRO's. "Letting the Cat out of the bag" Page 10 is where I've got some weights on my drilled cases. overall axle weights were with the Axial C's and nuks tho. I'm sure I'd be down in the high 4lbs range if I went with delrin tubes, I'm just leary about my driving style snapping something. Sometimes my rig looks more like a gymnist with wheels. (as long as all 4 make it through the gate right?) I had hoped to see the factory version of a new Bully, but somewhere between lets get it done and building more scale accessories it just never happened. |
