I started looking at the XR10 cause that what most ppl run, but then they became hard to get and now Axial wants 550.00 dollars for the kit I started looking at bergs and bullys and that is what brought me to your thread. I am looking for your opinion on what I should get.
I am fairly handy but lack a lot of the tools required to make many of the mods you have done. I am on very limited funds where that if I spend absolutely no money on anything else, I get 100.00 a month. I have a healthy (or unhealthy depending on how you look at it) fear of screwing something up when trying to modify it. Knowing that little bit about me, would you suggest going the bully route as you did? I know this is putting you on the spot not knowing that much about me, but I value your opinion from seeing your results throughout this thread.

Keep racking up those victories man and thanks in advance for any input.

Thanks man!

Bergs are expensive no matter what. Bully's can get expensive also if you get this crazy with them. Up until the Dlux tubes I had done all of the mods with a dremel, a 4 1/2" hand grinder and a cordless drill. It can be done.

Ive got to agree with Wants2crawl. You have got the most inspirational and informative bully thread by far.

I just saw that Dlux will no longer support Bully axles. So what happens if you ever snap a tube? I think that would be tough given how light your rig is right now.

Dlux customer service is top notch. I am positive that if anyone that already owns his product has a problem he will get them the part they need. He makes all of these parts himself in his shop so he can make a new tube if someone was to break one. But I'm am only aware of one person breaking a Dlux delrin tube? No worries here.

I am pulling my Bully apart so I thought I would post up some weights in case anyone is interested. If you want better detailed picks let me know.

Sorry for the shitty pics!

Rear axle with Dlux machined gears. I have dremeled the crap out of the rear gear case. It has Dlux tubes and lower link mounts, and Al 12mm wide hexes.

Front with drilled by me gears and the case is mildly dremeled, Dlux tubes, link mounts, servo mount. Axial C's, and cast knuckles. I run Dlux hubs in the front which don't use a hex.

The pair

Lathed can 40t broods

Youre motors look reasonable weight wise. I would just kill the heat sinks. Let me know if you want me to send some screws to do this.

Great numbers!
My rear axle with motor is 40+gr more than yours!
(also dlux tubes and machined gears)

Your motor+rear axle is more than 40g lighter than mine.

I have to put my car apart so I will take the weight again (with the axle without motor), and I'll get back to you with some better numbers.

I noticed that you have a set of the dlux axles, they look awesome.

To bad you can't run both and you are selling the bully's...
I'll follow you on the other section.
This thread was great to show that a bully can be competitive!

I was visiting both of your threads recently, when I was making the build breakdown video of my rig.
Don't know if you saw it but you are both mentioned on it. ;)
