My BTA was super easy to do....unfortunately I have no pics of it after I converted it to BTA, although the servo stayed in the same spot, the servo horn just rotated 180*. I flipped my knuckles to make them "low steer" as I now call them and obviously pointed them backwards. I had to notch my servo horn to clear the cases at full turn, but other than that it was simple. For a servo mount, I used some TLT brass canti arm bushings as spacers and bolted them directly to the holes in the top of the axles on one side of the servo. On the other side, I had to make a small plate from aluminum to make the holes line up, I used 1/8" material...if I ever have to re-do it, I'll use something thicker for some more threads. You can't really see the plate on the right side of the servo under the aluminum spacers, but it shows where my servo still sits. This pic was obviously before I changed it to a BTA. You can see it a bit better in this pic. It screws into the link mount holes. I just sandwiched the link mount under it. I believe I also had to cut one side of the "Y" link mount off to have enough clearance for everything. |

I think you will be more satisified with an OTA setup. Running the drag link high over the axle will take it fully out of the way. Something like this: |
