How far can you grind the axle tube on bully lightweight axles for servo clearance?

I filed mine down to the bolt holes, I have a picture of it on my thread. I could have gone further but it was just enough with room to spare. |

I have had no issue with going all the way to the bore exposing the axle a little. Still plenty of meat in them if they are not turned down.

I don't know how I feel about going all the way into the bore of the axle, I would think dirt and all kinds of stuff would end up in there. That would be the easiest thing to do for clearance of the servo. I like the idea of going down to the first bolt holes better, but idk if that will give me the clearance I need for the 7980 servo. It's just a little nerve racking to take a grinder to a set of new axles. Thanks for the input.

It's a little strange at first, but gets easy-er, trust me ![]() ![]() |
