Yes very sad about Nordic Crawler Tomi made some killer stuff and was awesome to deal with. Samu Will DravTech be making NCD stuff? Tomi said someone was taking over his line. I would really like to get a Sudu MOA chassis and links. Need a change in chassis as I think I have taken the reptile as far as it will go. I have really enjoyed the Reptile other than when you end up upside down, it's a real B--ch to flip back over :( |

Finally gathered up some pics from the Worlds! Finals starting. What a great course! Pics are from the finals course. In the slippery gates Bonusbonus! The magic gate five. The hardest of the normal gates. Filmstar Koppensneller! Loosing awfully lot of time on gate nine there... Final results. After three months I'm still happy with the fourth position. Sunday night hangout with everyone on hotel's parking lot ONE MORE ROUND of tequilas!! What a great trip alltogether! Something I will never forget. PICTURES: Steven Kautz |

I have new parts rolling in as the first comp of 2015 is getting closer. Some training batteries. Darn, the rig will be broken before all of those are finished. New, considerably lighter 3D prited skid by DravTech! Assembled! We'll see how well it slides. ESC's, BEC and the receiver will be zipped to there. New ESC's and BEC - ready for smashing! My new axles from RC4WD are soon outside of the door as well. Old ones I used to my shafty, so I had to get a new set. I'll update this later. Now I have lots to do with all of my rigs. |

@Zarizi Tech Do you change the bearings or something else on your new axles like some others do? I still haven´t any problems with my stock-axles but it seems you drive many hours with so much Lipos,so do you have to change something or is it alright? |

Finally somebody else who is not complaining. I ran the whole year with the stock bearings and gears, without a single problem. Few days ago I opened my front axle and the bearings are still tip top notch. Gears too. Only thing I've changed is the front shafts as you might remember. A BIG thanks to RC4WD. Now I got a new pair of Bullies for a new season! Always nice to have a "fresh" start. Yep, still as exciting as the last time! Add knuckleweights and NCD carbon fiber stuff, throw some locktite to the screws and they are ready for 2015! Now I'll just have to get all the parts together. Luckily I have some holidays in christmas. Skins are ready for shipping in Canada too, and tires are in the production as well. This should be ready in no time! |

Finally I have the new axles, so it's time to build it again as a roller. Here's all the stuff that I need. New Dlux wheels for it. First I prepared the rear axle. As last year, I put locktite to the screws so they won't get loose. Same treat to the front axle. Now servo and knuckleweights attached as well. And before I knew I had the axles under the rig. Next thing will be soldering the new electronics. Now added the CF stuff on front axle and also tires from my shafty. Set which eventually will arrive to this rig will be exactly the same. Now I'll just have to wait the skins to arrive. In the mean time building the wheels and soldering the electronics. Brand new set of the same wheels I drove last year. For some reason I prefer the solid face version. There they are! That's what I'm about to continue as I get to the garage next time. My motors are also in preaparation for next season. Ok, little more to update! Time to get packing these together! Plan is to put ESC's and BEC to a same package in the chassis. The receiver will go behind the axle. Preparing the stuff. All set, now just the hard part of soldering them all together... First they will all go to a same shrink ESC's and BEC. Wire by wire. Shortening the receiver wires too. Package is ready! Well, short enough wires now! Attaching them all with two zip ties. Good thing about this new DravTech skid! I cutted the electronic plate behind the front axle a bit. Just so receiver had enough space on it. There is the first package in chassis. And receiver behind the axle. All attached now. Can't yet test out if they work. I need to get my motors back first. New wheels on it. Now I'll just have to wait some parts. Off to build the next rig tomorrow. |
