Not ideal.
It is 4mm.
I am going to try to get the pin dead center of the king pin.
Then cut the flats and silver solder the sides to keep it centered.
Hopefully this will not get it hot enough to make them brittle.

Why did you go with these over the thicker Kyosho shafts?

Which Kyosho shafts do you recommend? A friend had these laying around.

Looks like an awesome idea. 50 degrees and 5mm shaft. I hate to spend 100 on axles that I have no idea of their longevity. Any body know anything about these.

Ifw162b are the truggy shafts and are longer than a wraith long side. They aren't quite 5mm but they are closer to 5 than 4. I can't remember off the top of my head and my calipers have gone missing in the move I just made. I'm working on having chromoly 5mm inner shafts (and possibly complete chromoly universals) made for a few different vehicles but we are still working out the details.

Looking at the pics it looks like they are not going to fit in the C.
Here comes a bunch of thinking.

I purchased another set of 0 degree knuckles from RC4WD to have a back up set up for worlds.
The bushings are way too short.
The ear on the knuckle is 5mm.
The boss on the bushing is only 4.75mm.
Interference.
They responded quickly to my email and asked for some pics.
I hope they go measure their stock.
I know of one other set purchased and the bushings were the same.

So the bushing weirdness is being taken care of by RC4WD.
Their is not any front replacement CVD's in stock so I had to come up with something else quick.
My friend Bob come up with a great idea to move the outer bearing out to make room inside for the truggy axles.
Cut down some knuckles to bolt to another set. Drilled out the C's and removed the bearings behind them.
Also I plunge milled the inside of the knuckle down 1.1 mm for the bearing to move in. Made a bushing to use the smaller outside bearing on the inside. 16 od 12 id 2.4 thick. This got the u joint pins lined up with the king pin.

Got the hubs figured out.
Used bully 1 hexes and Vanquish .725 hubs.
I don't like the Orings that retain the pins.
Clipped Tmaxx springs to make a snap ring.
5mm cap screws to hold the wheels on like the bully 1 V6 axles.

The steering is a little stronger now even though the new axles took care of the stalling. Added some arm extensions that Rowdy sent me. Thanks Chris.

I have not heard anything from them yet. I'll give it another 10 days before I start bugging them. I am anxious to get ahold of the axles. They are just damn neat! Hope they show without a hassle.

I saw those too. You can find them on ebay for the tourning cars. The ones I found didn't look beefy enough to take the torture of crawling.
