Default Heido's B2 build

How it all started:
On our comp my friends rig broke and I let him drive my Berg but as it wasn't the best day for me I stated that if he drives my rig better than me I'll put up a for sale add for the rig. He now owns it
I started to look for new axles. Got a few offers for nice XR10 axle sets but at the same time was dreaming of the B2's. Got lucky and scored set of B2's here - thanks CrawlrKing.

Some specs:
B2 axles
Custom chassis from Tomi
SCX shocks
TI links
Silver Voodoo's with CI foams and wheels
Pro-Line 1/16 bug body

Hitec 7950 servo
HH 35T motors
Mamba Micro Pro esc's
Novak DIG

Ordered new bearings from FastEddy and maintained the axles

New pins are definitely needed, stock is way too short

New bearings in

Greased the gears, CVD's and mounted the motor (HH 35T)

Same tretment to the rear axle

Tomi was kind enough to blow the dust off the mill and cut me the same chassis plates he designed for my Berg.

Now I have to wait for the 4mm ti rod to arrive so I could start making the links

I am curious to see how the 4mm rod works out. I just ordered some my self. My plan is to make uppers. Do you think it will hold up for lowers too?

On my berg I had only the rear lowers made of 5mm rod, all others were 4mm and hold up well.

Thanks

Rowdy has the list up on his build topic
Actually there are 18 5x10x4 bearings all together, so I have now some spares but that's never a bad thing

Is that fast eddy bearing kit for the Bully2 or just one that had the bearings you needed?

I talked with Eddy, no kit available yet. It's just the bag the bearings came in.

Today finally the 4mm TI rod arrived, now I can start making the links.

Also the CI foams and wheels arrived a few days back. It will be a puzzle putting them together, as I have never had glue-on wheels before. Eddie was kind enough to give me some tips on that We'll see how that goes...

Got some links made today - uppers and front lowers, all from 4mm rod. Haven't decided yet from which rod to make the rear lowers, 4 or 5mm. I've tried heating up the 4mm rod to the glowing point and letting it cool down it harden's a lot... It should hold up just fine

I would recommend you check the CVD pins. Mine where short and I made new pins for the CVD's.

What radio are you using?

Had some time to work on the rig. Did the front weights, 52g each.

Also prep'ed the body in my own minimalistic way Decided that I'm not gonna buy new paint and will use the ones I have in the shelf. Had two, green and silver, enough for one coat each. Green is brushed through silver on the roof and hood.

Looks great Heido! Where the hell did you find 1/18 bug body? That's a treasure for sure. I like the painting too. Which tires will you be driving?

I bought the body from the Liquid RC. $0.99 shipping cost PRO3238-31 Vw Clear Body 1/16 E-Revo [PRO3238-31] - $27.99 : LiquidRC.com , No Bull world wide shipping

For the tires I have silver Voodoo's with CI foams and wheels.

Thanks Samu, looking forward to try this rig. As I finished it today, I have only driven for few meters, it felt good though
And yes, I will go back on saturday night. I promised to help a friend on car repaires on sunday.
