Yesterday got her out on the rocks at the final event of OCK's winter series and took the win. Notes from the day: Still need lots of practice with the lever on the MT-4 Steering seemed ok except for one bind where the servo just didn't have the leverage needed Still not sold on the rear shock setup More testing needed Some pics |

One of the guys at the comp noticed my rear links hit the rear-most chassis brace at full squat so this morning I came up with this - used to be a cross brace for a Reign K2 scaler chassis

Reversed the bolts that hold the shocks to the chassis and tweaked the rear chassis brace for a little more down travel. The rear shocks are starting to feel a little more predictable. Weight of rear chassis brace is 3 grams

| Re: Crawlinghulls bullified thanks - its still a work in progress So in the last three weeks I've been preparing to host (at my house) one of the largest comps this area has seen next to Worlds last year in R.I. I would be lying if I said I haven't been driving but nearly enough. Last week broke a xvd pin but was able to replace it with a Bully1 xvd pin - so cool. Finally the last update.... new tires and they look and feel great - I must admit I've never run voodoos, but these feel as good or better than cougars, leopards, Sedona etc etc etc. Heavy testing at the comp this weekend - the bead is thick so you need to slowly tighten your beadlocks. I'm running Dlux wheels - others maybe different. They sure do look nice |

First run on the rocks - at a comp - initial thoughts. First off they hold a line very well, offer very good sidehilling, and good forward bite. They seem to like less wheel speed than a voodoo (from what I could watch today). I did have some bounce with the 6.0cc with soft out (front) 5.5 with med outer (rear). Also they are not vented ---- yet. gonna switch some foams tonight and hope for better results tomorrow

| Re: Crawlinghulls bullified Yes indeed-I'm running a narrow 6.0/soft in the rear with 5.5/soft up front and vented. Worked better but I was hosting the comp in my front yard (Rock Island - see this link for pics) http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/th...NAME=snapfish/ So my driving was a little...... er..... Off. But I must admit the rig is close.. concerning further tire tuning, I think I have a pattern in mind after speaking at length with Winnerone23 So as soon as I got home - Decided another Little mod mUst be in the miX Last edited by crawlinghulls; 05-04-2015 at 04:56 PM. |

So after two days and a little tuning here are the updates Dlux aluminum knuckles with brass slugs (4lbs 2.8 oz) Single arms Ofna/bully shafts She sits at 11.25 wide up front. (with .600 Dlux ofna hubs) -a little wider than I'm used to but we'll give it a go before going smaller Awesome workmanship and durability |

More updates Don't know if I'm the first to trim the RC4WD Bully comp tire but I started tonight - I'm creeping up on a pattern that a true Winner shared with me and one23 it was done. I'll test this pattern first - the pins are very small so leaving a few extra rows may be helpful. Also found a longer servo horn and played with steering link length. This is what we have so far |

So the extreme angle of the rear shocks resulted in a super stable rig through 85% of her articulation, however as the shock compresses the angle gets larger and the spring rate goes to zero in the last 15%. so your expecting a constant rate until she rolls right away. Out come the nifty RCbros shock caps and Ta-da. feels consistent throughout the travel |

Second place today. No competitor finished a course - really tough stuff - a battle of progress. Got home and noticed that the left rear axle was very tight - First start thinking bearing - then I remember I broke a pin in the universal... hmmm. The pin was bent enough to allow the hex to rub the axle case when the wheel nut was snug....

Having a few hours to think about it - she did tumble down maybe 8-9ft and landed hard - so was probably hard (bad) driving |

So far I love them! They do not like a lot of wheel speed- seem to find their best traction with low rpm. side hill ability is great. Here is the current pattern- front first |
