Nice rig you have. Do you know the hole size of the axle tube need to be to fit the Dlux axle? I figure about 7.5mm, but don't want to do it just yet. Its a no return point, once you drilled it.

I don't have access to a drill press so I sent them to Erik to be drilled. One side note - depending where the weld is you may need to drill the hole in the case for the axle size increase

Well did a little testing and tuning and comparing with my wife's rig (xr). what a difference in wheel speed

My Sudu HH 13t 500"crawl"/13t pinion

Hers HH Crawlmaster Pro 13T/14t pinion

Seems like hers is 1/3 faster????

Don't know if going to a 14t pinion is the answer??????

Also - anyone making rear upper link mounts?????

Broke the gear pin. So the question is - are the new ones stronger ??? Still managed four progresses on the third course with rear wheel drive only

I had the same problem when I first built my rig. You actually have to use the dremel to grind the outside of the screw head so it matches where the carbon fiber is tapered. These knuckles have very little clearance with the wheel hardware.

They were actually hitting the bottom outer counter sunk screws. I spoke to Erik and he said with certain hub/wheel width it can happen. took a Drexel to the 6-32 screw heads and problem solved.

Also I may have figured out the Bully tire. took a small grinding wheel and a Drexel and sanded the sidewalls of the front tires inside and out, big difference

also experimenting with a different upper link mount - raises upper link mount 1.5mm--- so far so good

Next will be a slightly heavier rear shock oil

I had the same problem after grinding it would tick under load I thought it was a gear but it was the knuckle so I ground some more on the wheel and the screws on the knuckles but I replaced them with titanium so the small head on one side and smaller foot print would and no problems ever over a year

Got home today to feel the love. Got so excited I forgot to take a pic before tearing into it. So I finally think I got the foams I need. Gotta give props to Crawler Innovations - great product and fantastic customer support

Looks like you could just use a straight tie rod?

Once you get that drag link rod end down on the carbon arm instead of spaced up it will relieve a bunch of stress and you should be good to go.

Let me know if you want a new 1/8" ti drag link too. Looks like you could use a bit shorter one.

So the Bully comp tires have not been cutting the mustard on my 4lb 2oz sudu/bully2. The clubs I compete with run some insane lines and really push the limits. The issue with the bully comp tires seems to be support for the smaller lugs. here's my first attempt at solving the issue

here's a little update - A big thanks to Winnerone23 (advice with electronics), Purptr8r (huge support and advice on the suspension setup) and Erik (Dlux) (dealing with my issues and helping with my steering). Best group of people out there

when you run ofna universal on a bully be sure to drill the inner gear case

Erik updated the design on the axle shaft so you can run stock axle c screws

Shortened and changed angle on the front shocks

Found some 25+year old buggy front wheels - looked like a good match for the Bully Comp tire

Just a heads up - RC4WD has gotten stock levels up and would like to offer a 10% discount on EVERYTHING on the site from July 1 - July 6.

Use promo code: WANTYOUBACK

So home from the NENQ and am pretty pleased with the way the rig is progressing. Picked up a set of Voodovers courtesy of Purpmart (kinda ironic). Snapped the short front axle shaft on course three and had to take a dnf. Finished up in 16th overall

During the day there was a discussion on venting tires vs venting foams. Some claim - why put a hole in a good tire - more chance of tearing. Others say venting the tire is easy and really does not increase the chance of tearing.

Well I have traditionally vented the tire when running the C.I. foam but years ago - before high density foam - back when hpi 1.9 stock wheels were doing work - we vented the wheels. So I found a piece of 3/16 aluminum tubing and just pressed through the foam. Worked like a dream. will be testing soon

Gotta thank Winnerone23 for the idea (tried drilling it but it grabbed the foam so bad it ripped in half)
