Hey it's me again, Got an update on the two pcs shocks, THEY WORK!
Anyway I went thought about 8 different internal tube designs and bench tested them as best I could. Ended up with a shock that works really well.
So I'm onto making four total mounting them on a rig and hitting the rocks.
But right now they cycle fully are easily bleed, super smooth with no hard spots/dead spots in them.
1st test is going to be with 50wt shock oil, then 70wt dif oil.
Still working on the over all weight, I'd like them to be 10grams total.
May need a tester or two lol.

Thanks for looking!

Finalizing everything hopefully before Rausch, so I'm probably about a good month away from having anything available, but I'll PM you as soon as the parts are ready.

So I've been working on getting all my parts as light as possible.
Here's some of the reworked parts."

Front beadlock inner rings for internal weight system. My first design weighed in at 14 grams.

Rear beadlock inner ring or both with no internal weight just beadlock.

Smaller OD front inner ring for internal weight system, allowing for more foam tuning.

New Bully 2 Hub with a 14mm pin instead of 10. The old hub weighed in at 18grams. This new hub get me at 10 3/4 before mounting tires on my rims.

HERE'S A LITTLE TEASER, WHATS THAT!

Wouldn't the arm (being bend inward) stuff the ackeman of the steering geometry?

? Not sure I follow, this set up uses a shorter tie rod and gives better contact for a steering stop as not to allow oversteer in hard binds.
This is just a prototype right now making a few different offset from a 2mm all the way to this 6mm, then testing see what's better.

Not sure I awnsered your question lol, but here's a better pic

Just cut some sweet CF rings, straight from the mind of Mr. Crawlinghulls.
This is his set to go with those nice beadlocks.

Next project the rear axle? Carbon fiber tubes in red & black along with some grade 5 Titanium, dropping weight.

Setting up lol

Saved about 13 grams just in the rear shafts, still think I could lighten them a little more.

They came out weight in at 5 grams.

A little update on the front beadlock weight system to.
Originally they weight in at 38 grams with nylon standoffs & al hardware.
The new recut lighten versions come in at 30 grams.

The rear beadlocks are at 12 grams with nylon standoffs & al hardware.

Nice work on the rig so far. Looks like a lot of fun. What is the OD of the largest part of your weight system? I tried 4 3/8" with delrin. Wanted to try CF and never got to it. The ackerman thing is going to be weird. Outside wheel is going to turn sharper than the inside. If it ends up being a problem flip them over and run a longer rod. Very nice work on the carbon fiber parts! Good to see someone making their own parts.

Thanks, right now I made 3 different size Internal CF rings/beadlocks
3 1/2 is the biggest then 3 3/8 and a 3 1/4 for a friend to try.
1st size I'm going to give a try is 3 1/2 leaves just enough room for foam, maybe.
Still working on the weight holder, did a redesign on this week need to cut a few new ones. Changed the way the weight is mounted more options.
As for the steering arms have to wait until the rigs up and running so I can get some testing in. Then changes will happen or I'll make a whole new knuckle lol.
Thanks again

Thats impressive, its just as light as our C-class and its a beadlock. Interested to see how well the carbon holds up Nice Job!

Sorry that pic was just for show, there's a new shot!
I didn't get to fancy with the hole locations just did it by hand.
I'm probably going to make Delrin axle tubes cut in half to go with the CF tubes.
All the work will be done on my CNC 7 axis lathe.
So hole locations will be the same on all sets.
3M does make a really good adhesives for CF to metal. I'll give it a try later on but for right now I'm going to run the 3mm screws.
