The driver was one of our top club members that couldnt get his car to arm, so for him a kit version would be the better choice. After playing with some radio settings we got the steering opened up a bit, its still kinda slow (7950) so I dont know if its the BEC. The esc still has that cogging when trying to finesse at low throttle, but the motors got a ton of power though! Chassis wise it looked like it was performing good and was doing well on very challenging courses. For those just starting the RTR will be just fine until they feel the need to upgrade, for a veteran I'd suggest going the kit route. Its going to remain unchanged till after the Championships, then I'll start swapping electronics and see how much improvement and what each upgrade does.

Mod 3d is a sick but tons of people are running it. It would be sick to see the rc4wd in action to see how capable it is.

Funny thing, that. Trucks don't get fixed unless you actually work on 'em.
The "loaner" worked pretty well. It's definitely in need of a pair of Holmes minis and Todd's choice of tires (not the ones that came with it) could have been better. All in all, I was quite impressed with it.

2s 3s or4s ???

I usually run 3s in all my rigs.
When I read the advertising Tower says 2s other ads say 4s

I looked up the esc and should handle all at 120 amps.

I run 3s 1300mah on my g made R1 will these work ?

Got Mine and boy am I overwhelmed!
Looks great, BUT the wiring is a mess as you showed. I'm starting by pulling shocks and axles. Time to seal, lube and inspect.

Not sure of soldering to these brushed motors (Brushless forever My tekin sensored are all brushless)

Im looking and cannot find setup for stock RX I'm having a B***H of a time setting endpoints....

Take a deep breath you can't hurt motors soldiering wires even if you soldiered them backwards... because motors are set to zero timing.
After you soldiered wires if motor runs in opposite direction, Just switch them.

Not my worry, they just LOOK funny to me with all the springs and stuff.... I'm always gonna be a brushless kind of guy !
I'm actually between cokes now, just finished going thru the whole chassis and axles... My rtr looks like a kit now, but all is well and I am having a blast cleaning and learning. My gears were well lubed, but most screws were loose and found one 2.5x 6 missing. Loctite afternoon !
