I had no deans or xt60s and was starting fresh that's why I chose the xt60. Its definitely nice to be able to borrow a battery though.
But to answer your question. I like them a lot. I had a couple cheapys that were very hard to get apart. After getting rid of them I am much happier.

So my shv500 came in works awesome so far. Can't wait to put it to the test on some real gates. I really like the rubber pieces that go over the tabs.

Also I forgot to show everyone how well my kingpin and universals line up now with the shims in there. They work very well and I've already had them in a serious bind completely turned. And was able to power out of it so I think these axles are going to last.

I ended up flipping those bushings in the rubber around so the wide part is on the bottom because they fit down into the servo mounts holes. Seems to work good now. But I'm so damn excited for all this power! Now I get to put my bec in my scaler and my crappy bec into my mad torque.

What's the reasoning on tire tread direction.. noticed the front & rear are opposite...

Old school for better grip.... some say it works, others don't . I run pins, no difference!

Not sure if you noticed but pins have a, A and B direction marked on the sides. The pins have a tiny different design on either side for more/less grip.

3' into the first run the directional orientation pins mean nothing. Mike runs bully pins, there is no a/b direction.

I run them that way so the v of the front tire really grabs when going forward. And I like to run the rears the regular direction so that when Im digging with the front the rear v grabs and tries to keep the rear end planted. At least that was my logic behind it. So far it has worked very well. With the pins it just seems to drag the rear forward Anyway when I am using dig.

I don't see any vent holes in the pic, did you drill vent holes in your rims?

They're in the treads. 4 holes in each.

So its been awhile since I've run my bully. Did a poor job welding my uni mod so it kept breaking, then the shv500 got put in a scaler. But I got a protek 370tbl for it now which has like 650 oz/in.Got a good deal on some OG xvds.

Put some mechanical stops in, simply by adding a nut under the forward bolt on the link mounts, so the steering link runs into it.

Decased two wp1040s (one was actually an ae-5 but they are the same.)

Adjusted my links and shocks to lower my ride height.

And to top it off added weight to the front and widened it with some pin mount hubs. At 11.25". Got everything dialed in in the living room but snows melting so I might get it on the rocks today.
Can't wait for spring fling at rock island!

i also broke a small gear tooth in the first 3-4 battery packs used..there were 2 bearings in there that were too small to fit anywhere in the car..blew my mind, pics in my thread..it got me addicted, then broke..thankfully didnt ruin anything but a gear..just finished the fast eddy berings in the entire rig and some green grease, and loktite everything, well almost everything. now really wanting the hh brmd esc and cc bec..the not creeping slow abilty is driving me nuts..
never had a rc car in 40 yrs,,it was a evil knievel motorcycle lol..so in 3 months i have 5,wraith and bully being my fav..bully gettin all my attention from here on out for sure..thx for the great thread! learned a lot! hoping i read or misunderstood wrong, and the dlux brass knuckles and fba shafts "dravtech shocks also" i ordered work fine with my stock b2 chubs ,and wheels with lil work. seems like i read something in here that said i need new chubs? .have a great weekend!!

edit; im also intrested in the wp1040,s :-) can i decase 2 of them and make my own. i assume thats what your doing..heck at 10-12 bucks each i may give that a try..just didnt no this could work.and i thought ive read every bully thread out there in past 2 months.. i love learning and good t soldering and tinkering, john
