8° c hubs and knuckles Hello could someone tell me what the 8° c hubs and knuckles are for? What is 8° more or less on what? |
Re: 8° c hubs and knuckles 8° is the caster or kingpin inclination. these are adjustable BTW. I personally prefer more caster over less. Having more caster can aid in turning a little sharper and in cresting obstacles (while turning) as it allows you to use the sidewall of the tire a bit more. |
Re: 8° c hubs and knuckles The 8° hubs I've seen are for camber, not caster. In theory it would be good for high speed handling in turns. I've only seen them on a few occasions so I'm not sure how many people actually use them, or real world if they help handling. |
Re: 8° c hubs and knuckles Thats not the case with the bully II My Bully II has them https://i.imgur.com/PxCFqN4.jpg Wheels will tilt over when turning. C hub is slotted so it can be clocked (circled in red) https://i.imgur.com/5Sh4LR7.jpg |
Re: 8° c hubs and knuckles My bad. I read the question and was thinking of these. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial...-knuckles.html |
