When my TR2 arrives, I think I might skip phase 1 altogether and go right to phase 2.

I'm not that picky really but I figured if I was changing things why not. The other plus is I think this might be easier on the springs.

Phase 1 is pretty fun though. It's just so darn scale

I'm dying right now wanting to go home and work on it. I've been at work all day and I'm sure my wife isn't going to allow for much build time tonight. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

I have been known to take vacation days to complete builds. I still have more than I can use anyway.

Servo winch mount. I did something like this in my LJ and it works great.

Thats perfect.
Now put it guts back in, look at it, guts hanging out all over .

I am not sure on how I was going to go with a winch yet. I going to do the shackle flip and tie it into the bumper for sure.

I finally got a little time to work on the bumpers and sliders. Rear bumper and sliders are mostly done. No picture of the front bumper yet but the hard part is done.

So phase 2 is now pretty much complete. Bumpers and sliders are done. I installed RC4WD XVD's which made a huge steering difference. Totally an awesome upgrade and very worth it. I also did the Chino mod on the leafs. I don't know how much it did but everything seemed to move a little more freely.

Looking good Zach.

Thinking of doing a winch there or in the back opening...

Thanks John. It's a super easy mod. Unless your running a stick pack there's plenty of room back there. I was going to put it in the back but I felt the line routing was easier in this place.
