TF2 kit discontinued/out of stock?

Not looking to start any rumors, but I am finally ready to pull the trigger on a TF2 kit, so I started looking for the best deal and found Tower lists them as "discontinued" and out of stock everywhere else.

Any ideas? is it normal for RC4WD to run behind on supply?

I think it's being updated. If you look on their site they have a new one listed that has a little more detail on the body namely the bed.

The Mojave II body has a different tail gate cause the handle is in the middle of tail gate like the 82'' I had and the 87 Toyota pick up I own now

my neighbor had a 80 or 81 or not sure of the year, but it the tail gate latches, one on each side of the bed like the First Mojave body set has

I do want to throw my two cents in here and say a couple of things.

A) the TF2 is a sweet rig but
B) rc4wd is just about the worst company I've ever known when it comes to keeping stock. It's a wonder they still in business

The same thing had been said about axial, Vanquish, and others..... people have to realize that even our "bigger" RC companies - Are NOT big.
All these guys push hard to keep up, but sometimes things run late for reason we never even hear about.

Well, I don't want to get into another pro/con rc4wd debate, but this isn't a matter of opinion; it's a matter of fact.

Rc4wd hasn't had the tf2 in stock in over 6 months, most vendors are the same. The common breakage points like gears, axles etc have been long out of stock.

Many users on this site have dumped their trailfinder for a truck more readily available like the ascender or axial. The message boards are plagued with these story lines.

Go to ebay or any other online site and seach for a new axial transmission. Then search for a trailfinder 2 transmission.

I ordered mine as well, I'll take my chances with the durability concerns as I am a pretty conservative driver.

No need to exaggerate to make a point. Parts availability was no doubt an issue in the spring and persisted longer than anyone wanted after the warehouse move (in part due to difficulties keeping up with pent-up demand), but availability has been much, much better over the past 2+ months. Most parts are now available at one or more retailers at any given time and are coming back into stock quickly when they go out of stock. I've been running mine all year (and not babying either) without a single break and can't wait to get my hands on the new version.

My pre-order status just changed from shipping in Mid September to Mid October. Wonder if the kit is delayed or if I just missed the first batch, which is fine.
