Default the 6victor6 TF2

Hey all! Figured it was time to get my build thread going.. So without further ado, here it is.

I think I'm gonna go truggy style.. I love the open, skeletal look of a tube frame and enjoy brazing and playing with fire anyway. Got some safety-silv on order.. I had some 1.9s from another project but they look much better on this..

After seeing n00bs opening hood, I knew I had to do that too! Thanks for the inspiration n00b! I made the hinges out of .060 lexan and glued them with weld-on 3 acrylic glue. I haven't found much that'll melt lexan but that stuff will. Makes a killer bond.

A hitec HS85mg is employed for the shifting duties. A lightweight airplane pushrod attached to a solder lug completes the shift linkage. I shortened the original servo mounts and bolted it to the side of the rx box.

I know this is overkill but I couldn't pass up a servo capable of over 400 oz-in

Thats it for now.. Not too exciting yet but it's in the early stages.. I should have some goodies coming in the mail in a few days. Meanwhile I'm pondering on fender wells and interior stuff..

Thanks for checking it out!

Thank you. Currently thinking grey primer. But I am fond of the flat red or flat orange. Kinda want to go for the no show, all go kinda look..

I did get some fender wells put together.. They aint too pretty but at least when you look under the fender you wont be seeing through the truck anymore. I have a floorpan in the works too but I'm waiting on my seats to show up so I can get the center console fitted properly.. Next up is the firewall..

Thanks.. I figured the linkage didn't need to be too beefy.. I'd imagine that a little flex in the linkage can't hurt. It's plenty rigid to to the job but may flex enough to keep the gears from getting damaged should I grind 'em.

So my stuff came in the mail the other day!! Got my front hubs, bucket seats, esc, motor, steel driveshafts...

And also got a roll of brazing wire!

I have really got to do something about that yellow dash. Interior will be coming soon.

Added some exhaust pipes.. Had to drop one a little lower on the tranny side, but oh well.. I'm pretty happy with 'em. Kinda tricky to get em in there so I split them at the transfer case.. No one will ever know..
