Default TF2 Paint help

Well my RC4WD TF2 kit is due to arrive today so I went to my local hobby shop to pick up some paint. The shelves were bare but they did have Tamiya AS spray paint Tan (Aircraft color) for plastic models. I was able to pick up Grey Tamiya primer and a can of Tamiya TS-black for the grill.

My question is has anyone worked with Tamiya AS paints before? are they compatible with Tamiya-TS paints? I plan on testing on some scrap first but if anyone knows it will save me from a days worth or worrying about it before my kit gets here.

I can't remember so I need your help. Is the Tamiya TS for painting on the outside of bodies like your tf2 and the AS for spraying the inside of Lexan? Thanks

I think that you will find that the AS and TS paints are for exterior spraying on hard plastic)-the only difference is that the AS paint normally has a matt finish when dry.Looking forward to picking up my TF2 today from my LHS-they are scarce as rocking horse s**t here in Australia!
