replacements for tf2 driveshafts

I would like to replace the weak driveshafts on my tf2 but don't want to spend a lot of money will the Axial fit or traxxas driveshafts.live this truck but hate the driveshafts.

I just got a set for an Axial AX10 and shortened the rear shaft
But in hindsight the set for the Axial Dingo would be better coz i,m pretty sure the rear shaft is already shorter

another alternative is the Wild Boar shafts from Axial. I had a set laying around from my wraith, shortened them up and they are holding up fine, theyre designed to handle the torque of a 20 turn motor (kinda) so I figgure they'll be good to go for the drill motor I run in my TF2. much cheaper than MIPs or punishers.........

Why not just run a ring on the plastic part of the joint?

I have a hard time buying that guys are twisting the shafts at the splines, am I wrong to think that? The complaints I've seen are the ears popping open at the joint.

A local guy is running stock wraith driveshafts and they look good. Probably plenty beefy for the small tire trucks.

I had both popped the front shaft ,( so i put in a spare axial one i had )
and then put some rings on the rear at the same time , couple of packs later it popped the rear even with rings , it was then i noticed just how twisted the shaft was:shock:
In there Defence i,m running a 2500kv outrunner plus 1.9 Pro line Swampers , and i have given it a bit of a hard time

....I should have kept my yap shut...my tf2 wasnt complete yet...pulled the shafts from their bags yesterday and now I understand...they feel like rubber.

I bought 2 of the shafts to try on my highlift, thinking they would be decent and twisted both within five minutes if running. Was quite disappointed in them and I was surprised to see them in the tf2.

These are a much softer, springy compound plastic compared with the other punisher shafts I've had in my Gelandes etc.

Do they make Viagra for driveshafts?:lmao: I have a set of Axial driveshafts joints and some Traxxas shafts on them for you. Sounds like a good trade for the Pull-Pal you made for me this week 8)

First run of my tf2 today and in 5min I had destroyed both front and rear drive shafts!! Kinda sucks to spend that much money for a kit and haft to buy parts right out of the gate! Mip's I guess it is.

I ran 2 hours and never popped mine off, but I'm a pretty careful driver and only run 2S.

Re: replacements for tf2 driveshafts

ironic thing is after he snapped the drive shafts i snap my ankle bringing a spare rig to run for him...but i had fun and those stock drive shafts look like they would break if you look at them wrong and wont even make it outa the box when i get a tf2...mip shafts will be sourced first along with any other weak links to be found. i agree with many on the issues the tf2 has for the money you pay.but then again every new mousetrap has a few quirks to be found in the field while being ran.
