[QUOTE=1BadJeepBruiser;3885429]

Truth in the matter is, even in the 1:1 scale world many SA leafed front Toyotas sit dropped out and are more down travel then up travel due to high steer set ups and the frame rails. If I snapped a pic of my 1:1 86 SAS 4runner its maybe maybe 2" from the bump stops at ride height but when crawling it drops out nicely

I noticed that with the 1/10 scale, it actually worked pretty well.....
Nice 1/1 Bruiser

Another round of primer

A driver and his dogs

I used Letraset tape to make the leather grip on the steering wheel. I used a little aluminum tape for the center

The lights looked a little to new and shiny so I used some 1000 grit sandpaper to make them look a little more aged. See the difference?

Boring Beige!

Haha, it reminded me of clay.

What, 'almond' isn't exciting enough for you?

I used that color so I can make it look like rust underneath once I get bored with the cherry look.

I used a rust colored primer under my red flatbed TF2... It now has a lot of road rash, and looks great with the rust color showing thru...you will like the effect...
And almond isn't my favorite...but I bet you can pull it off....

Thanks. It's much easier to take good pictures with a good camera.

I wet sanded the first layer of paint and sprayed it again

I guess I will sand it back down and do a gloss coat. I'd rather not though. I don't want it to be to shiny. I guess the clear coat would help make the paint last though...

I made myself a y connector to get the steering wheel servo running

I kinda like this dent in the hood. It looks like a golf ball hit it. It's actually sink from the boss on the other side. Injection molding is a bitch.

I used some foil tape to chrome out the grill. The aluminum is too thick and hard to cut. The adhesive turns into boogers when cut. Gross.

Sometimes he just sits in there and pertends its on the trails

Very well done! Where did you get the driver figure? The color looks good and the dent in the hood is even scale LOL

What type did you use? I took the same approach for my grill and was very happy with the result.

Yeah I was trying to copy you. I used Nashua Tape. I don't know the model number. It's about .15mm thick. I found it at work. I cleaned it up a little more with the exacto and I'm calling it good.

I finally did a flat clear coat on the truck. I will add more pics soon.

Flat clear coat

Black highlights

I used some of this cool stuff called holographic diffuser to give the light more depth. It’s used to make the led’s in led tv’s and other screens look more spread out. It’s cool stuff. I’ve used it in a camping lantern I designed for Joby.

Some random orange sheet material from a binder I had glued on for a fake orange light bulb.

I think it turned out pretty well

Here is one headlight with holographic diffuser and one without. I think for the headlights I should leave it out.

Rear lights also have the diffuser material in it

RC4WD forgot to texture one side of the mold

Chrome Mirror (same crappy tape)

Ridin’ on wires

Finally put together!

The cat is not pleased

I added bumper stickers by printing them on clear adhesive backed transparent film.
