Yeah, Johns set-up is completely bananas! I think it's closer to 60*...definitely not a set-up for us common folk though.

P.s. How the hell did you do the degree symbol?? LOL

His axles are complete customs. He is using the center section original only.
The outer knuckles and C's are VP. The axles were machined to accept the VP parts along with dave's super 300's.

So that said, Dready posted up flipping the case and moving the transmission to create OD and UD. It is for the most part a factoy conversion I have done it on both of my TF2's.
For comparison my C1 bug has k44's and a 12" wheelbase and had a 60" turning radius. I had a custom OD/UD tcase made that brought it down to 42 or 48"( can't remember now). When I built the TF2 which for the most part is similar, with the mod to the drivetrain the truck has a 36" radius now with no other steering mods. I'd like to also add the K44 knuckles and XVDs as they allow about 4d more steering. I would expect I should be able to see 30-32" radius from the TF2 afterwards.

Corey you have my number if you want give me a call.

Do ya have a link to where Dready posted that info? I definitely missed that little tidbit.

The k44 knucks and xvd's work unmodified in the tf2 axles?

No help with the steering issue, but if you're using an IPad, thee is a short cut for inserting the degree symbol.

For example, 85°. Just type in the number and then hold the 0 button. The degree symbol will appear, just slide your finger onto it and *Bam* °.

I have not had a chance yet to try the k44 knuckle. Looking on rc4wd's site they showed it as an option or it's a k44 style of knuckle.

Also as a heads up compared to Axial which is a 28% differential it's close to 47% when you run it through the tcase this way. It seems to not have as much stress as I would expect but I also think the smaller tire is helping. It certainly is helping the turning, I noticed it somewhat on high speed runs but not overly so. You can see the rear being dragged by the fronts if you're watching.

Wow, that a pretty dramatic overdrive. Does it get real wierd while reversing. I know my axial sporty gets a little funny going in reverse sometimes. it has a tendency to jack up for obvious reasons. Just wondering if the higher differential percentage makes this alot worse?

It did for me. At high speed I could tell the front was dragging the back. It would dig in on a dirt hill or mud. But if your running on just rock, it will clime and turn like a big dog. Just my opinion

I spoke to Dready and he returned it back to stock having found he didn't like it.

I'm running cvd's with the shocks moved to the rear of the axle, it turns fantastically and running 1.9 rock creepers they catch on the leafs.

I've also raised the steering rod above the leafs so its nowhere near the pumpkin.

im already underdriven on the rear. im needing more front steering angle.
if i have the XVDs, and dremel the knuckles will i get more steering? or did katan design the axles so the XVDs and axles/knuckles max out at the same time?

i guess extreme steering might have been too strong of a title. id just like another 5-10* over stock.
