I'm planning to purchase a TF2 kit too after I'm done with my wraith and SCX10 project. Please keep us updated with your progress.

Tekin fxr/35t.
Futaba 6j.
Savox 1258tg for steering.
Airtronics xxxxx for shifting.
Kms k3 180oz servo winch.
Rc4wd basic led kit for mojave body.
CC 10amp bec.
Heyok 4amp relay servo winch controller.
Heyok led controller.
Venom 3s lipo.
Grill, inside the bed, and inside the body will be black bed coating. Thinking about spraying the lower body line black as well

so many ideas/plans.... no time, money, material, skill, etc.

got in my head to build towards a weekday work truck, weekend trail truck. Ladder rack, jobox, ladder(s), etc.

if time allows today I need move the elects tray, fab and mount a plate above the shift servo for esc, bec, and winch controller. also need to rig up a new horn for the shift linkage. saw in an older post someone fabbed up some quick lift blocks, i've got some scrap CF begging to be used there. not to mention rewire it

ok so i did get it rewired last weekend and set back up. not 2 minutes into a test run i popped a joint on the front shaft. no big deal except the important parts disappeared. WB8s ordered and received. installed friday, waiting for one of the rear joints to fail as i dropped the inner most barrel and it disappeared as well. survived 20minutes of decent running, nothing too crazy. only 'damage' done today was a mirror and loosened wheel nut (luckily the wheel and hex came off immediatley, and the drive pin stayed in the axle)

started working on a generic tool box for battery placement in the bed. really need longer wires from esc to bed, and could really go for larger 3s packs. did some trimming up front below the stock chrome bumper, removed the bar that sits just in front of the frame rails. still running shackles forward up front, and they were hitting that bar on the body maybe midway through suspension movement.

Now if only my 6yr old will learn to keep his TRX stampede away from the TF2.

Have some "gap guards" cut for the rear, just need paint and mounting. fronts i can see in my head but i just dont have the time to put forth

Lift blocks visible, looks legit although rather HACK if i do say so myself

beginnings of a toolbox for the battery

and how she sits with about 4mm lift and 1.7" Iroks fitted to 1.9" Pro10's

also not visible in the recent pics, i cut out the lowest middle section of the front grill piece. gained a little more suspension travel by doing so. May cut the rear piece out as well, then switch to the next higher bumper mounts front and back

so i did some minor cutting....just enough to switch to the next higher bumper mounts front and rear. now i really need to just go on and slice the lower portion of both ends took her out for a good 20min+ run. lost both mirrors this time, also somehow broke the knot securing my scale hook to the winch line so its gone too (moved winch to ch4 instead of ch2, think i was causing drift in the winch) scuffed and scratched, beat and banged, she's holding together. cut and painted some rear inner fenders last week, finally got those drilled and mounted today as well

most importantly.............i ground the hex side of the hubs on the pro10s flush, and switched to the narrow hexes included with the kit. i get about 2/3 to 3/4 tire coverage with the big IROKs

AND I finally sprayed some black paint on the visible areas of the underside of the body

on a side note, my rear axle doesn't sit square to the chassis. i know that with articulation the nature of leaf springs will cause the axle to move towards the shackle, but just sitting on the bench the right rear is about a 1/4" behind where it should. any thoughts on that? I'm thinking about going to a link setup, but would have to do it one axle at a time

1 leaf has straightened out more than the other, is what is causing the un-squareness

I really like your tire and wheel combo, looks very aggresive. As for your axle issue, it seems like running all the leaves is too stiff and running a single leaf bends too easily. I'm using one main and one short helper spring underneath. Hope that helps.

Love them tires and trail rash down the sides. Looks awesome!

I'm runnin' one main leaf and the small helper too. No probs.

got a little time to tinker this weekend.

Running rc4wd red leafs with short helper underneath, setup works pretty good

took a gamble and went to cutting and chopping. ended up with a bobbed bed that is divorced from the cab. halfway smoothed it up, and repainted the bed. found some aluminum L-brackets in the storage building, so cut those into bed mounts. 1 up front mounted to the front side of the receiver box, and 1 at each rear corner secured with the bolts for the shackle mount. drilled and tapped 3mm for a buttonhead screw through the bed floor in to each mount.

did a little more today. pulled the t-case and cross member, flipped the t-case input shaft around, and mounted it to the underside of the electrics plate. I was already spaced up a few mm to clear the t-case in stock mounting, which seems to be almost perfect for this mod. drilled/countersunk 2 holes in the tray, used the same hardware as stock.

also mildly visible here is the front inner fenders i made up last weekend. better pic tomorrow
