A friend brought his TF2 to a recent event and after checking it out I had to have one! Found a used TF2 in decent shape got it home and started on the body work and suspension. Tossed around some color ideas with the very talented Jesse walker and we came up with a Jager green candy color. Paint looks awesome out in the sun! 3 link in and RC4wd 100mm shocks. Had a set of black chrome beadlocks and some old losi rock carvers so on they went. Sat too low in the rear (1st pic) so did some suspension tweaking. Made a body lift tucked the bumpers up tighter to the body and wired up the winch. Last edited by Scrambled83; 04-16-2014 at 10:22 PM. |

Like the look of the black chrome beadlocks but the 2.2s are just a bit much on it. Will be going back to 1.9s when I find some rims I like. New gears on the way for the front axle. Really want the helical cut upgrade gears but no luck finding a set yet. Comments and suggestions welcome guys. |

Looks great!! And yeah the tire/wheel combo looks huge! I bolted a set of proline beadlock 2.2s with proline swampers up on my tf2 and can't steer or flex at all with out rubbing but sure looked killer!!

Thanks man! Yeah the rock carvers are actually pretty short for a 2.2 just really wide. Gonna go back to the 1.9 Trepadors for now though. Anybody have a set of axle gears they can part with? Having a hard time even finding stock replacements in stock right now. |

I really like that color. Is it an automotive paint and do you have a paint code for it? I would like to test it out for some 1:1 use. Very nice build also. I would go with scale tires but it's your truck and if got having fun that's all that matters right. |

Thanks Joe! I really liked the way the black chrome rims looked with the paint scheme and couldn't find any in 1.9 is the main reason the 2.2s ended up on the truck. Lol I'm going back to 1.9s the stance just looks better and they don't rub on everything like the 2.2s. The paint was pretty simple it's just Duplicolor Paint shop candy green laquer shot over a dark gun metal metallic base. |
