Default Setting shift servo?

I hate to show my ignorance but I have burned up one shift servo all ready trying to set the EPA on it. I now have a second servo on the truck and am worried I'm gonna burn it up also. I'm almost to the point of just leaving it in low gear and running it like that. Any tips on setting it would be great. Thanks...

Using a servo saver on your shift servo is a good idea. The trans doesn't always switch gears immediately so while it's in the process of shifting the servo saver will keep the servo from burning up

Try to only shift when it's rolling. Also when you do shift, after it locks into gear listen to the servo and see if it's still making noise. If it is dial it back some.

Thanks for the tips. I may try a servo saver to try and take a little pressure off the servo.
