I have been wanting one of these rigs for a long time now! I have several vintage Tamiya Bruisers and you just can't beat the classic lines of the Hilux trucks! I did some trading for this rig. This used to be Balln's rig, then I got it off of cboggs. I don't know the full history of it so I will be tearing into it to make sure everything is up to snuff. I want to make sure the axles have been shimmed and not going to grenade on me when I go shake it down. I am still working my way through all of the awesome build threads and trying to figure out the route that I want to go with it. I want to keep it a 1.5 rig and I will be using it to comp with the Carolina Scale Crawlers. Plans include: Bob the bed Custom bumpers front and rear RollBar with MORE Rigid Lighbar Crawler Innovation Foams 4 link and 3 link suspension Helical Gears LockedUp Scale Hardware Bruiser Interior CVD's Holmes Power! As stated before, this is the first time I have had the pleasure of working on one of these, so if you have any suggestions...PLEASE speak up lol! I will be updating this as I go. It will be slow going currently with Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner. |

Looking really good! Good looking list you've got there too. I'm anxious to see how things come together. Subscribed to this thread. What turn motor will you be using? Love those tires on those 1.5 wheels. Glad I decided to keep mine. Love that rear bumper btw.

I take that real bumper is of a bruiser or something....looks really scale, I love the pitbulls awesome look on the hilux trucks. My opinion the 3+4 link kit awesome mod. |

Yes, the rear bumper is off of a bruiser. I have a 35t Holmes Torquemaster to try and may try some mild brushless setups. Sent while I should have been wrenching! |

Let us know what brushless, as soon as I get mine I'm also thinking brushless, but to be honest I don't see a lot of them in brushless format here in SA, especially in the crawling area | |

Will make sure to let everyone know how the setups work. I am looking forward to running the truck tomorrow to see how it handles.

Have you done anything to the wheels or the hubs or is that the stock set up? The stock wheels stick out too much for me but the size of the growlers with it being tall might not look too bad. Because yours look great
