Default creepinchevys TF2

Well I've been waiting to come across one of these rigs for awhile now and finally had the chance to do so. Honestly didn't know what to expect coming from an axial background but I must say its been nothing but a positive experience so far. Haven't got out to trail yet but have been wrenching on it like crazy Lol.
It came as a slider with a full cab minus windshield and bed. Also came with the 2 speed trans and a homemade lift kit.

So far I've purchased a bed, sprayed it to "match" the cab, installed a dynamite 20t, axial ae-2 ESC, axial as-3 servo with bearing mod, traxxas tqi Rx/tx, relocated the front shocks behind the axle, and saw a handy leaf spring mod on here that I did as well. (Top spring is stock, bottom is modded)

To come is 90mm shocks for the front, relocate steering links above leafs, shooter shackles f/r, rc4wd front bumper, bobbed bed, respray of body and interior, and depending on how the first run goes I might 4 link the rear.

Hope I don't bore as I'm not really good at writing these things Lol. Thanks for reading though and any suggestions or criticism is appreciated!

Off to a great start. Love the matte black finish. I'll certainly be watching in anticipation!
So what is the advantage to relocating the front shocks behind the axle? I've seen others do this before too, but not sure exactly why. May consider doing this to mine as well.

From what I have seen, more clearance for steering.

Great looking rig! I have always been a fan of matte black.

Sent while I should have been wrenching!

Thanks for the positive feedback so far fellas! Im actually starting to like the matte black myself! But yes the main reason for behind the axle shocks was for more steering clearance but also for a overall better look from the side IMO. It gives it a more "aligned" look rather than the shock being noticeably in front of the hub.

Thanks. Did some searching and it will play a bigger part when the link suspension goes in!

Same here man liking the scx10 hoops! good to know they bolt up as well! I forgot to put that I'm going with gelande 2 shock hoops after I get my 90mm shocks in so my ride height stays about the same

Same here with the shock hoops, have them on both of my TF'2. quite a difference in suspension travel from stock.

Just did the shock relocation too, looking forward to seeing how that fairs out.

So one more question. What benefit do you achieve from moving the steering links above the leafs? Is it for scale or clearance issues?

Yeah it's mainly just for the added front clearance man, keeps the links out of the way from being hit in a tumble and gives a bit better approach angel when going straight over a rock or something. Still debating whether I want to do it or not though because 1:1's have the links setup like the way most have it now. We shall see after her first run this Sunday:mr.green:

Ah ok that's sort of what I thought, wasn't completely sure. I haven't done much aggressive crawling but I can see how it may be an advantage. I may do this too though. Let us know how things go for ya.

It is for clearance mostly. Keeps from getting hung up on rocks etc.

Well just got back from taking her out on the maiden voyage. Must say I am VERY impressed with the tf2 platform. She crawled up lines almost as easy as my 1.9 wraith did. Only issues I had for the day was my weak servo, the front drive shaft was slipping at the sleeve and the bed DEFINITELY needs to be bobbed Lol. Overall very pleased with how things went. Need a hair more weight in the back also but the spare will take care of that. Here's some pics:

Outstanding photos. Looks like you had a blast judging from the terrain lol. Impressive flex shot in the second photo. I'm with ya on the weak servo, I'm using a Futaba S3004, which seems very weak to me.

Did a nice little trail run myself yesterday, one of my lower knuckle screws backed out which made for some wicked neg. camber . Thread locked everything in. The shock behind the axle mod was perfect! Thanks for the heads up with that one, so much more steering angle now.

Glad you like the TF2!
