Default Stock Mirrors, A Possible Fix

Don't know if anyone has tried this, but I think I might have found a fix for the stock mirrors popping off. Given this crowd, someone likely has already tried this...

I screwed up the body my TF2 came with and planning on getting another one and starting fresh. So, I figure there is no reason not to experiment with this one and use what I learn on the next one.

GreatScott's Great Trail Finder

Basically, I bolted the mirrors on.

I used 2mm cap screws from Losi MRC stock beadlocks (the fake ones), with a 3mm washer. I drilled from the inside out very carefully using a 1/16" bit (slightly smaller than 2mm), did not want to go all of the way through. Using my electric screwdriver I ran the screw in most of the way, then hand tightened it so that it did not strip. The end result looks ok, and should hold the mirror on a lot better than glue. I did not drill all of the way through, from the outside you can't see anything different.

When I get some trail time on this truck and start banging the mirrors against stuff, I'll let you know how this worked.

Curious to see how they perform out on the trails.

I had just done this to mine the other day My first TF2

Very simple mod but seems to be a big help!

Just ordered a set of the rubber mirrors, hoping you're right.
