I would try running it with the leafs to break them in. My trail stomper had nearly zero flex when I first got it but after 4 or 5 long trail and rock sessions it had much better flex. It wasn't like a scx10 but I had also learned how to drive the leafed rig and it was able to take almost anything my trails could throw at it with proper line choice and throttle control.

Ok well I've got the wheelbase and pinched shocks issue corrected. The RC4wd rod ends are short style so i installed some Traxxas 5347 ends on the lower links and Axial bent ends on the uppers. The uppers needed bent ends anyway to keep them off the chassis. That got the wheelbase back where it should be. To fix the pinched shocks I installed some 5mm spacers on each of the mounts. Now the operate much better though they still need stronger springs. I've got a set of Kings on the way to fix that. Pics up soon

A few updated pics. I'm currently waiting on a set of 70mm Kings so these pics are the truck just sitting on the axles with no shocks.

On my tf2 I run the stock single leaf and 100mm stock shocks with scx10 hoops up front and the shocks in the rear stood up and my suspension sits almost bottomed out and the leafs are really soft now

I would love to post some more pics but I still haven't received my king shocks yet. It's been over two weeks! Hopefully they will be here by this weekend. As far as other goodies go I just ordered a K44 front. Yota's just don't look right on a Jeep so they're posted in the classifieds. LOL, someone should make an offer for them...hint...hint. As for the K44's, RC4wd has the front in stock but I may have order the rear from the international site. I'm hoping to find one in the us. I've got a friend that may let go of one "fingers crossed". In the mean time I'm going to work on the front bumper, interior and electrics. More pics soon!

Hell ya Killa! The jeep is looking pretty sexy and the axle swap was a must. The wheel and tire combo is very nice! Get some LU lug nuts for those wheels

Yeah all I had at home was some scale bolts and I figured they look better than the cap screws. Gold lug bolts are scale right? LOL! On a side note, I love the Gearhead wheels but I was kinda disappointed that the BL screws are M1.6 and not M2. RC4wd is the only place that has M1.6 scale hardware but the bolts the have are only 4mm long and I need 8mm.

Woot! I got my front K44 today. I was surprised to see that it was greased very well compared to other rc4wd axles I've bought. Now I just need the rear and I'll have a proper set of axles for a Jeep. While I wait I decided to paint my white steelies black. I scuffed them up a little with some 400 grit and sprayed them with Rustoleum Prof. They turned out nice.

Well I couldn't find the rear K44 anywhere in the US so I had to order it from the rc4wd international site. The shipping alone was $50! What can you do though? At least I won't have to deal with the yota II's knuckle stripping problem and the K44's do look great!

Got bored waiting on parts so I decided to remove the Monster decals. I never really liked them anyway although they were nice plotter cut style decals. I'm not sure If I want to stay with the clean look or sticker it up G6 style. Of course It will have to have the obligatory RC4wd, Gearhead, Pit Bull and RCC stickers installed or it just would'nt be right......right?

I'm in business now. Got my 70mm kings and K44 rear axle today. I must say I'm quite surprised how fast they got here from rc4wd's international store. I ordered them on the 21st so that's just five days. Anyway I can't wait to get to work and I'll post some pics up later tonight.

Here are a few pics. I got the K44 rear greased up and installed it with the 70mm Kings. The shocks combined with the 4 link make the rear operate butter smooth. It's tempting to 3 link the front but I think I'll wait for the leafs to break in and see how it handles first. I figure if I run the front shocks with no springs and a small helper leaf that should do fine. There is only so much you can do with this short of a wheelbase anyway. Like I said above I removed the Monster decals and I think it looks much better now. Tomorrow I'll work on the electrics and interior. More pics soon!

Looks great, I really like the wheel/tires combo and I think the Jeep body looks better with out the monster sticks as well. The K44 axles under the it are a must in my opinion, just doesn't look right with the Yota axles to me.

Thanks everyone! I'm hoping to have it running by this weekend. With the interior the electrics are proving to be a chore. I'm glad I went ahead and picked a 12" sensor cable because the esc will certainly have to go in the back but I think the battery is going to fit perfectly behind the firewall. I spent the afternoon installing some that braided wire loom and I have to say that stuff is cool and pretty cheap too. I bought 5lf each of 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" for less than $18 shipped from CableOrganizer.com.

Wanted to get some opinions on these Wrangler emblems. Does this look good? Does the lettering need to be spaced more or further back towards the firewall? Maybe a pinstripe would help. Something doesn't look right to me.

I think spacing the letters would help, maybe look at a rubicon's spacing and placement for reference.
