| Started as axial man now I'm hooked on tf2s
First off, I've had tons of axial scx10s, wraiths, ax10s. Liked them all but most of them I started with are all gone. I guess u just lost interest. Usually dropped tons of coin on axles, bodies, parts etc, and still lost interest! My first g6 I ran with a brand new honcho I told my self I'll never get rid of and use it for every g6 that comes up, ya know upgrade where was needed. That didn't happen since my local group goes crawling every weekend, sometimes twice a week. I found my self upgrading alot, and not because it broke I just wanted more. And here lies the story of a tf2... I bought a lot (5rtr) trucks and cars. Sold three and made 90% of my money back. Just really bought because I wanted the tf2. So I kept the tf2 and exo terro. Mind you all these cars were highly upgraded. If you really need to know what the others were it was: Traxxas 1/10 erevo rtr Traxxas X01 rtr Gmade r1 rtr built to the max (sold on here) But anyway I love this truck. The two speed is sweet, it handles awesome for being so dang heavy. My brand new falken jeep now sits in the shelf because of it. The cms, metal axles, 4 linked, just all around impressed me. Has a few things on it as far as upgrades; Holmes hobby torque master Ae2 esc with bec 300oz servo Motoworx wheels with maxxis treps Custom f350 body, stack, rc4wd fuel cell, lights tire carrier, custom metal bumpers, winch. Hitec shift servo Proline scaler shocks Kbess limit straps What I want to know is what do I need to do to this to make it perform all the time like it does now, its barely been used. Maintenance questions basically. What tires are you guys running on these? Ive never been a huge fan of stock tires. Yes I do know I could search the forum but I wanna hear from you guys not scroll thru a thousand pages, I want some feedback, reviews, thoughts and opinions. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Same with me i sold most of my axial rigs, and use my tf2 the most. I added 110 shocks in the front with the gelande 2 shock mounts. I lowered mine as much as i could to make the suspension work for me i'm running 105mm shocks in the rear. Running king shocks with 50wt in the rear and 60wt in the front. I'm running the hilux body with the bobbed bed for better descends. Removed my rear bumper though i have a full on scaled 2nd body i use for scale points. Still experimenting all the time with it running the pitbull growlers 1.9 with crawler innovation foams. |

Welcome to the TF2 club. That's one sweet looking rig, and it looks highly modified from what I see. I love the ford body. As far as tires, I run the 1.7 TSLs you can find on RC4WD, (page isn't loading now so i can't post a link). I absolutely love these tires. I have the 1.55 and the 1.9 and the 1.7s are the ones I feel fit best on the truck. Second, on my other TF2, I have pit bull growlers and they look and perform very well too. Mind you know, my rigs are all leaf spring stock setup and not linked like your ford beast. |

I was thinking a smaller tire but I've tried 1.7s on 2.2s it doesn't work lol. I did have in mind the growlers in 1.9. I might go with them. Now what about maintenance? Axles pretty strong? What about the gears in the axles as well as the transmission? Thank you Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

You will find people who have their axles arrive shimmed incorrectly at the pinion. There are many easy fixes. I knew one guy who some how blew up his tranny. Quite frankly, I don't know how. Only once have I ripped apart all my axles and tranny to lube it with marine grease. Probably a good idea. Otherwise, just recharge and go. | |

Love your rig. How are you liking the PL scaler shocks? plenty of flex running linked up?
