Default How did you mount your hard body?

I purchased a TF2 swb and I also picked up a New Bright H3 hard body. The rear has two post for the rear. But I'm not sure on how to mount the front down.

Rare earth magnets? I used them for the wifes cco1 and the body stays put even after repeated rollovers

Not sure if you have micheals in the U.S but thats where i picked ours up their about the size of a dime and epoxied them to the shell and some fabbed up posts on the chassis using the stock rear mounting posts with out any clips and the magnets up front and the body holds tight only moving under a fair size hit

The pics are for a light bulb to light up when i see a good idea. Such as for the scx10 i have seen magnets on top of the body post. They just cut the little nipple thing off and epoxied the magnets on top of the post, and under the hood. So that the body post are still adjustable for the body ride height. Killer idea. But there isnt anything like that under the hood or the tf2 swb chassis.

I did go out for a trail run today with my scx10. And a gentlemen mentioned that he has a Humvee body with a 10" wb thst the back comes off for a truck look.

with a body like that I'd be kinda scared to cut it up..
And ya that how they do the magnet thing and basically the same for the Velcro...Not sure what the Tf front end looks like maybe some type of C bracket like this

and get some sticky velcro so you stick to inside under the hood and on the c bracket that you have to make. ,maybe cut those body post on the inside flush under the hood and lay your body on top of the C bracket...

Best thing to do before you start best to make a template first out of cardboard to make sure the fronts level with the back once your satisfied make one out of aluminum or steel drill a couple of hole and your done.

looks like you have yourself a nice TF2...
hope that helps....it's really pretty simple..
like said make one out of cardboard first this way if you screw up well you make another out of cardboard till you get it right...

And if you choose magnets and use steel for your c bracket you can epoxy some short styrene tube as a locating spot for the magnets and they will stick to the steel and stay centered
