If you do have a slightly more convex body, it's as simple as reducing the length of the mount pillar. As for the taillights, even the Tamiya tailgates have that outer lip of the lens protruding. Is it annoying? Slightly, is it a problem? Not really. |

Im confident they (RC4WD) wouldnt let me down ello Michael, Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention. At this moment most of all our customers have received their kits already with no complaints, but only a few had some issues. Upon receiving your kit, please do notify us if you encounter some issues with it and we will do anything we can to resole it. We are currently looking into this matter and hope to have it resolved soon. Keep in mind that the body will fit snug onto the body mounts, but should not warp the body. Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with. Zuleyma Customer Support Its always a peace of mind dealing with them Its a good 5hing they didnt get irritated of me when i was asking them about my d110 I forgot her name tho she was very patient dealing with all my questions lol |

This is somewhat concerning. I haven't even opened the shipping box yet and I've had it a week now. I have it hiding in the storage closet where the misses can't see it. Not quite sure how to magically make it appear without "having spent money" But now I'm wondering if mine is one of the affected bunch. |

Have you owned a Tamiya Hilux body? These gaps and curvatures aren't anything new. I'm not trying to give you a hard time, but after watching your video, it sounds like you have limited experience with styrene bodies or kit building. Some friendly advice, take it slow, go through the instructions, and after you get through the body construction, let's see how it pans out for you. If you're stuck, post up your questions, people will be happy to help.

Yeah you can cuts screw shorter for that....and as far as kits go these quality control problems/things missing /not fitting right.......are just inexcusable at this price point a few tweaks here and there. Is to be expected but I've built kits that are less than half the price that fit together better

Your signature indicates why you vehemently defend RC4WD. You're biased. It's beyond annoying at this price point. It's unacceptable. If this had happened in the 80's it would have been acceptable, but plastics engineering has come such a long way that it's not acceptable now. This is a $400 kit we're talking about not a $150 kit. Face it, RC4WD has messed up a lot. The quality of their products and their customer service level have both tumbled. They're notorious for their inventory issues. They made beadlocks that cut their own tires. Many truck kits shipped with missing parts. The list goes on. This was fine a few years ago when they were the only game in town. People accepted the issues because they were forced to. Now there are lots of players in the scale market. This is why people are going elsewhere. People love to dog Integy on this site, but whether people want to admit it or not RC4WD has a lot of products that are no better than Integy. RC4WD has problems that they need to fix if they want to remain in business. They know this. Why else would they have a "WANTYOUBACK" sale? That's pretty much admitting they have company-wide issues and they're losing customers because of it. This body issue is another screwup in a long line of mistakes. They have to turn this around if they want to win customers back. | ||

A lot of industries have problems with first generation products. We see it with RC, automotive, electronics, and the list keeps going.... I realize that the TrailFinder 2 isn't a first gen product, but they made a few changes to it. The changes that they made to it would be considered first generation. When talking about RC, we've all seen it with the bigger, more mainstream companies. Yes, I agree that some of the things on the new TF2 with the Mojave 2 body should've been caught and addressed during testing. You have to also look at the larger scale... Why didn't Ford, GM, Chrysler, Honda, Toyota or any other auto manufacturer catch the defects on any of there first generation vehicles? I'm sure the auto companies do a lot more extensive testing on automobiles than what RC4WD did on the changes to the TF2!! We can think of many "first gen" products that weren't 100% flawless when they were released to the consumer for purchasing. I'm not a RC4WD fan boy, nor am I bashing them. I own a TF2 that I'm currently building, and I've ordered a decent amount of parts from RC4WD. Do they have room for improvement? Yes, they do. No different than 99% of the companies out there. Will RC4WD fix the body issue, probably so. My point is... We deal with first gen mistakes or oversights when we buy different products. We deal with the "first gen" issues, or we wait a while and let the bugs get worked out before we purchase them. Depending on the product, I'll either purchase first gen stuff, or I wait....
