Spec page for the TF2 Mojave 2 RTR:
RC4WD Trail Finder 2 RTR w/Mojave II Body Set

Spec page for the Outcry ESC included with the RTR:
Outcry Crawler Speed Controller ESC with TurboBEC

Instructions for the Outcry ESC:
http://www.killerkrawler.com/images/...structions.pdf

Accepts up to 4S Lipo, but you would need an external low voltage alarm or cutoff.

Something like this is what im talking about
Will this be good on this rig

Simple to use Lipoly low voltage alarm that is small and light for on board use, plug's into balance lead for detecting low voltage on individual cells. A loud alarm will sound and LED will change from Green to Red if any individual cell drops to 3.3v or below.

Spec.
Lipoly Range:*2s~4s*******************************
*38x25x11mm***
Weight:*7g
Voltage Accuracy:*0.03v
Low Voltage Alarm Threshold:*3.3v (per cell)

CORRECTED: Lipo compatibility and BEC are totally different things. The waterproof Outcry (part # ) has a Lipo low-voltage cutoff, but the non-waterproof Outcry version listed in the TF2 RTR specs (part # Z-E0007) does not. If an ESC is not Lipo-compatible, you can use a Lipo if you add an external low-voltage cutoff and you make sure that your Lipo pack doesn't exceed the max voltage spec for the ESC. The low-voltage alarm that you posted a pic of will warn you but won't cut off power, so you'll need to make sure that you unplug the battery when the alarm goes off.

Harddrive you will need a low voltage warning module as the outcry has NO lipo cutoff my rtr came with it and its clearly stated it is lipo capable but has no cutoff if you look at the rc4wd website every outcry they have states NO LIPO CUT OFF! The lv warning you have shown will work i believe its basically a decased venom copy

If you can find one with a display its nice to be able to visually see the voltage at times too. But that one will work as well just remember its not waterproof

I stand corrected. The waterproof Outcry that comes on the D110 RTR has a lipo cutoff. The non-waterproof version does not. I've edited my prior post. Apologies for the confusion.

Ok now I'm confused. Does this mean the rtr esc is LIPO ONLY or can I still use Nimh ?

Thanks rocks had me worried for a sec lol
I had a bad experience with LIPOS and swore them off . Even use a 7 cell in my Yeti TT . Run time sucks but I just run more than 1 pack . To me it's worth the hassle , just seems safer cause I'm old school and have always ran Nimhs . Hell I can even remember the nicad days lol . I'm gonna run a 6 cell 5000 mah in the tf2 so run time shouldn't be too bad .

I can see using LIPOS for racing or high speed bashing but for us scaler guys who go slow I don't see much advantage other than run times . Even then I just bring 3-4 packs and I can run just as long . It's not that I dislike LIPOS like I said I know they have their advantages I just feel more comfortable with Nimhs cause it's what I grew thru the hobby with . My bad experience with a lipo was I charging one and had it flame up on me . After that I've been gun shy to use them again .
