I must apologize to you are correct to a point klla-cotton they are slight gradual angled back but I think they got this just a bit more then original lol which is normal for rc bodys they just can't get them perfect BUT I must say this is one of the better ones I have seen.. Now I'm not meaning to sound or in anyway be a jerk nor a smart azz but I'm saying this in utmost respect I owed a 74 and 77 pickups, now I know there not blazers but being a body and fender guy most my life I'm sure the used the same fenders and hoods and nether where angled like that nor the many I worked on.. alot depended on the chrome trim would make it look angled way more and different paint schemes to but like said above I must apologize I'm in correct to point lol. rjwalker

I have a question for those of you with more experience with bodies like this.
Are all the light lenses clear? What paint do you use for the break and turn signal lights? Any specific brand/color name or number?
Also, there's no back seat in the kit correct? Anyone thought about putting a rear seat in? Would the TF2 bench seat fit/look alright?

Most people use Tamiya clear acrylic paint or some even use Sharpies permanent markers

Multiple light coats will give you the best look. Let each coat dry completely.

^ I kind of lol'd myself a little...

So the body is on point with the scx-axle... This means it should be a hair wider than Yota axles... Which loosely translates to being able to fender-stuff a 1.55 Stomper!!! This is good news! This has just been a good news day!

Mine came today. Very nice! Once I get the 1.55 wheels and tires, I think it will fit well on the Sawback chassis.

Not to nit-pick, but I'm not crazy about the way the top attaches to the bed. Two plastic brackets screw into the top and then into the floor. I'm thinking Ill have to find another way, but there isn't a whole lot of material to drill through and magnets or Velcro might leave a gap between the parts.

It also looks like there will be a space between the back of the seats and the bed that I will have to fill with Styrene. I haven't assembled the body yet, but it looks like the electronics plate from the TF2 is meant to cover the space from underneath.

I got mail from RC4WD today! The long awaited RC4WD Mojave body came in!!!

Just kidding. First of all: RC4WD has done a superb job on the packaging. Every part is nicely wrapped and the body even comes with a detailed assembly brochure - nice (I love printed stuff!).

People unpacked it before me, you have seen plenty of the body. So, here is a body comparison (Clodbuster with MRC axles / RC4WD Blazer body / Vaterra Ascender body on SCX10):

While almost the same width, the RC4WD version is much shorter. Also, I normally run 1.9 steelies with ripsaws on the Ascender - and they still tuck in nicely.
But they would be way too big for the RC4WD wheel wells I think.

And there is good news for Ascender people: with a little trimming you may be able to use the bumpers AND the grille for that body too! Here is the bumper attached to the Vaterra body (notice on the underside shot: this is an SCX10 chassis and how I mount most of my bodies in the front - the bumper mounts lock the body down to the chassis):

Thank you RC4WD for selling these parts individually too - I will get some of them in addition for my other builds

So here is the downside - well, just my bad I guess. Had I known, they would release this awesome body, I wouldn't have shortened my Sawback chassis by 1/2 inch in order to fit the Vaterra Bronco body on it

It would make a great chassis if you don't have a TF2 I guess...

The "good" side of this: I can get and build yet another chassis! And my color choice as of now (I know it's a GMC but who cares :

Anyone have an idea of what tire they're going to run with this body?
I was thinking of running my 1.55 Growlers, but was looking into other options, possibly a smaller 1.9. Thinking of staying around the 4.19 size that the growlers are.
Thoughts? Anyone with a body sized up some different tires? The Trepadors certainly look a little big.
