Default Front bumper pics

Anybody willing to snap a few pics of there metal front bumper? Winch or no winch matters not. I just can't seem to decide. I like several but it mostly comes down to aesthetic. Also would like opinions on if you find them intrusive in any way from a crawling pov

Mine is not metal but GCM one that I had modified for a Gearhead light bar. Added a Viking fairlead and RC4WD diamond plate top. Have a matching rear as well. thinking about add some for of grill guard and lights on top as well. It is a work in progress.

I like the Marlin style bumpers myself. I think that they offer a better approach angle, I have used several of the other style shown, they are stronger but seem to hang up on things. I used to make my own out of brake line(3/16) they were pretty lite but needed repairs sometimes, most of the ones today are very heavy....guess I had better find all of my brazing supplies.

I wish something like this was in production and made of steel or aluminum. Offer some protection, keep scale and not limit approach angle. That is what has hung me up so far. I really like the Gelande bumper from the previous post but have read mixed things about limiting approach angle.

Yes dpcardoza thats true, the external winchs and bumpers look great but it's hard to compete in a comp. An internal winch and a bobed bed is a must!

Could you please share where you purchased your d-ring mounts? I have the same bumper and have been looking for mounts like these that have a threaded end on the back side. I would appreciate the info! Thanks.

I really like this one on my first TF2:

Although it doesn't have the crazy approach angle that some have (like Eric's sweet job), it works very well. It rarely gets in the way even in fairly heavy rocks, and when it does make contact, it usually slides over fine without needing the winch.

I used the same bumper on my TF2... With the lower portion of the body removed, and the #2 bumper mount it was early an issue on approach.

(Body is sitting high in this pic)
