Default Noname TF2...

Bought this one used from a guy i know... Was a great deal so why not...
Don't know much about it for now but will take it apart soon and check everything...
But what i know: it's the kit one, has the 2-speed trans, a awsome rollcage, HR internal spring shock, red leaf spring, 1.9 baja claws tires, steelies 1.9, junfac driveshaft ...

Already received some upgrades...

cvd kit
front 3-link/panhard/cms kit
rear 4-link kit
inner fenders

So yes, i will make it a links suspension tf2...

To come: scale steel punisher shaft, dinky rc interior...

Ok since i'm switching to a link setup, i would like to increase my suspension travel using Gelande II front shock hoops...

Question: 1- do i have to change front and rear shock hoops on my tf2 chassis?
2- what shock lenght would be best to keep almost the same ride height... 80mm or 90mm?

The 90mm shocks with G2 hoops will give you gobs of travel while keeping your ride height plenty low. If you go with an internally sprung scale shock such as an Old Man Emu or Superlift, you won't have to run coil overs and sacrifice the scale appearance ; )

There are no rear shock hoops on the TF2, the shocks mount to the cross brace.

Make sure to read the guide new2rocks wrote that is stickied at the top of this forum, lots of very usual information there regarding the TF2.

a bit of work done... Exit the leaf spring, welcome rear 4-links and front 3-links/cms/panhard... Such an easy fit... Well done RC4WD

Received my RC4WD Boost 35t motor and the Gelande II front shock hoops...

I also have to change the shocks oil in the HR... way too thick, they are far from smooth...

I was thinking about these maybe!?! Gmade TS01 Scale Shock Silver 90mm (4) [GM20802] : JunFac.com

What u think??? Anything better from RC4WD? Old Man Emu or Superlift?

i sold mine but i had the gelande hoops up front with the 90 rears moved up there. 100 superlifts on the rear. i removed the internal springs from all four shocks and had shooter shackles and t boxes front and rear. it preformed well but i wish i would have choose a diff shock then the superlifts

A bit of work done...
The electronic is installed and works
The shocks are smooth, flex well but not sure if I'm gonna keep the HR, probably change for some others shocks in a near future...

Any word on that DinkyRC skid yet? I'm curious to see what you think of it. I can't decide between it or the Helios one.

Skidis installed... Since it was made to fit the leaf spring setup, a bit (a lot) of cutting to clear the links and links mount

Finally managed to bring the setup to almost no tork twist... Only thing left to do is the shocks... Probably have to put some oil in them, 50-60t... will see after first test run...

Oh yeah, and i change the tires for some Tomahawk i already had here, since they hol the weight of the truck better than the Baja Claws...
