TF2 suspension mod Just bought an used tf2 and need tip on best suspension setup. Have read about chino mod, O-ring mod and other. Still confused about wich mod to go for? What's the best method without to much drawbacks? |
Re: TF2 suspension mod I did the chino mod on my rtr TF2 and it made a small but noticeable difference on the 1.55 tires. Also took the smallest leaf out of each spring set. People have said to take the spring out of the shocks, but when I did the truck sagged way to far, so I put them back. |
Re: TF2 suspension mod Here's my set up. All I've done is the o ring mod and removed the springs for my shocks (added 45 wt oil). https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...59fc379db3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...13a0432cca.jpg |

I tried the "mods". I tried other, upgraded, scale shocks.. Performance just wasn't there.. I swapped in a set of scx shocks, built for one of my comp rigs, and I haven't turned back since!!! If you're after performance and don't care that they Look scale.. scx shocks, Rock!!! |

Here's the axial parts.. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...15f51477d1.jpg Green slime!!! 3 o-rings (not 2 o-rings and the black disc, like stock) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c8461ae679.jpg Machined pistons.. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...818d813fda.jpg A few vendors have the springs, spring cups, and spring collars.. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...65b8111e25.jpg Then get em mounted. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...557ed6d9ed.jpg |
Re: TF2 suspension mod Wow, that is cool. Are they filled with shock oil or drops of diff oil? |
