MUD THRASHERS 1.55" SCALE TIRES, looks like BFG Mud-Terrains to me and they feel like decent traction just dragging them across my work bench.

I'm not a fan of Mud Thrashers. The tread pattern is a nice, generic A/T tire, but the compound is too hard for my liking.

I'll keep pondering. Might even consider 1.9 wheels for the Blazer body. It depends on which one I stick with.

I forgot RC4WD made it difficult to switch from the Yota to the Blazer body. You have to install extra mounts for the Blazer body.

I get in moods where I don't want to touch RCs and then I get in moods where all I want to do is work on them. Right now I'm into working on them.

I picked up 1.55 Pitbull Braven Berserker tires since I like the 1.9 versions so much on my HPI Venture. I put them on GearHead 1.55 Slots with LockedUp RC scale hardware and RC4WD Warn hubs. This is just a poser pics - tires aren't glued yet...

Rowdy suggested using E6000 to glue monster truck tires and if it works for those huge tires I thought it would work well on 1.55s. I have to say it was painless. The E6000 tube comes with metal nozzles that are thing and perfect for getting luge inside the beads of these Gear Head wheels.

Here's the gratuitous kitchen poser shot at night. I'll get better photos when the sun is out. I'm loving the way this looks.

My only issue is that the OD of the front hub doesn't match the OD of the rear hub. I need to find rear hubs that match these RC4WD Warn front hubs. Any suggestions?

You could go the other way and use bigger front hubs? RC4WD's 1/8 scale Warn hubs are slightly larger at 10mm in diameter, but still use an M4 thread (with pressed in nut), I believe the Mickey Thompson rear center caps are 11mm?

SSD and Locked Up's scale hubs run at 10 mm. RC4WD's variants, including the MT's, tend to run a bit bigger than that, closer to 11 mm for some.

I have the 1/8 Warn hubs front / SSD silver rear for my RC4WD 1.7 Stockers.

I thought about trying the 1/8th scale Warns. But the rear, M/T hubs I have on the Blazer now look too large IMO. But they do fill up some of that asinine recess that Gear Head put on the face of the wheels around the nut.

Thanks for the info. I have some SSD silver hubs, but they are silver not chrome.

1/8th hubs might look good on the 1.7 wheels, but I do think they are too large for the 1.55 wheels. Although RC4WD's 1/10th size Warn hub that I have on here would look absolutely too small and silly on 1.9 wheels. Odd sizing by RC4WD.

I had black GMade hubs on it when I had the black wheels and Yota body on it. You can see the photos on the previous page.

Thank you for the offer. I will shoot you a PM!

GCM's hubs look great. I am using them on the rear of my Blazer with Warn fronts. I'll post a photo tonight for you.

I'd appreciate the photo! You sent me one on Instagram when you suggested the GCM hubs to me. But every time I check they are out of stock in the US store.

I tried eBay. That's my #1 go-to. I didn't have any luck finding much of any GCM stuff anymore.

I put the body on and took it outside for some dusk shots with the lights on.

After seeing you and LSXGMC touching up your K5's, I've got the itch to take my 90% complete K5 off the shelf and finish it. I've had a few parts on back order, though. Guess I'll cancel that order and look elsewhere for them.

Damn those wheels and tires look good!

Are you still running the berserkers? How do you like them? I’m in the market for 1.55 set and those are towards the top of the list for me.

Did you finish your K5?

Thanks! I love them as well.

They are 1.55 Berserkers, but I have not had them on the trail. The truck has been on the trail before, but not this body or wheel and tire combo.

Sadly, no, but I do believe I have everything in hand I need to finish it, just a matter of sitting down to do it. I have been balancing remaking my SCX10.2, a '66 Chevy on a SCX10.2 builders kit for my dad, and my K5. But the urge to do it has hit me again, just a matter of staying with it! I hope to have it finished for some trail time at the Uwharrie Tiny Truck event on Apr. 6th.

I understand that completely. This build really frustrated me and I gave up on it a long time. Start a thread and post pics when you do.
