| Locked Up's Blazer build
Back when I was 14ish I bought myself a 76 K5. 1976 K5 Custom Deluxe Sport Blazer to be precise. Paid $600 for it ... Had a lot of work to do on it before I could drive it at 15 but I loved that truck. It was only 2wd, but in my head I saw it like a monster truck because it WAS a big tank. I had plans to convert it to a 4x4 but never got there and ended up getting a deal on a newer Blazer that I liked ... but never loved like that first one. So this is my throw back build I've been wanting since RC4WD released the hardbody. To help me I've enlisted the talents of Wes Brazwell, so a big portion of the build will be done by him with input form me. This will not be a 100% precise replica, but more of a "what I wanted" when I was a kid. Minus the billionty chrome shocks that were popular back then. This is the truck ... lets see where this takes us: Last edited by Locked Up; 09-30-2017 at 01:29 PM. |

Wes actually took over the build that had been started by Clay, so the truck was mostly assembled. this means he can get right into the good stuff. Quote:

Looking forward to getting back on this once the parts train rolls in. I typically just build one that I think looks good. Should be interesting trying to tweak out the wishes of a 15 year old Patrick. Wes |
