you have some space between the body and frame, and you are worried the screw is too thin to take the rare rollover without breaking? so like a shim or sleeve, just a tube of steel or aluminum as a re-enforcing shroud around the screw to resist some lateral force that could snap it.
i dunno, just a thought. can you take a pic of where you want to run the screws?

Oh I see what you mean. I think I can just do the m3 screw. There are m3 screw holes in the RC4WD frame and it is sturdy enough

While I wait for the servos and stuff to come in, here are some shots of the truck on some car bodies and with the new body lift.

Thanks, yeah I have a lot left to do besides the electronics. Still have to mount the cab and body, do the interior, and I ordered the two Ford flags for the rear, plus some other detail work.

I am going to use the CCHAND metal interior as a base for my interior, then I can make the firewall and finish the cab. About to make the engine shields.

Recreated the Mcdonald's logo and made it, and also cleaned up the body side bumpers/stripes. Right now it is out of alignment just because it is sitting on the rubber spacers, but will look the way it is supposed to after I drill the holes for the mounting hardware.

Had the two Ford flags custom made and on their way, found a guy that makes the flag post holders, and going to go ahead and make the tach that goes on top of the dash to have that ready to go before I pout in the interior.

I have made the servo mounts out of steel instead of aluminum for the strength, and used the RC4WD adjustable steering rods as nothing would fit properly. Since the angle is so extreme, I also had to purchase metal angled rod ends to keep it from binding. I also installed the engine, so all I am waiting for now is the interior so I can make that and move on to mounting the body.

Wouldn't having the tie rod and drag link located on top the the knuckle's steering arms give it a better steering geometry?

I would at the least put the steering links on top of the knuckle mounts. Also, can you flip the knuckles on those? put the left to the right and vise versa so then the mounting points would be up higher

The steering links cannot be on top due to clearance issues with the 4 mounted shocks on each axle end. If I put them on top, I would not be able to steer.

I had the same issue, with my KING KONG monster truck. But it was the leaf springs that would be in the way.

So I am having a problem on solving how I am going to attached the cab and the bed to the frame. Anyone have suggestions? I thought about magnets, but I do not know if they are strong enough. Any ideas would be great.
Thanks

Neodymium magnets and cups. They're definitely strong enough. The body might pop off during a rollover, but I don't see you bashing this truck that hard, correct?

I've purchased some from here:

It all depends on how you're going to drive it.

I bought the 1/2" ones for a Lexan body on my Sawback. The magnets held the body fine until I had a rollover. Once the body hit the ground it would get knocked out of the cups.

I also had a magnet pull off of the body when I tried to remove it. The magnets are Shoe Gooed to the body. When the magnet ripped off the paint sadly came with it. Just something to be careful of.

Flat platforms on top of the body posts with Velcro is another option.

So Bigfoot 4 ran both polished and black hubs. Which one should I run for this build?
