Default Over/under transfer case????

Looking for thoughts and opinions for the RC4wd over/under transfer case. I知 considering one for a Frankenstein build I知 doing. Will be using parts from VS4-10, axial and Rc4wd. I致e used the hammer T-Case before but have no experience with the over/under. Just wondering about quality and reliability.

I've been also considering it for my G2, but as you know, it needs 2 parts, the mount with the battery tray and the transfer case itself, which cost more than 120 pounds altogether. Its half the price of a brand new Enduro kit....Thats abusive.

Now this won't work in all applications & certainly isn't a drop in to a RC4WD truck
but for custom building where you're dealing with a DIY cross member
you can achieve the exact same OD from a stock RC4WD T/case without paying the extra for their OD version,
just got to turn it over & re-arrange where you drive in & where you attache the drive shafts.

Alternative in lower

Saw someone else do it & it worked out well in my TF2 Blazer, turns the AtlasII T/case right way up for starters & swaps front drvie shaft off to the right drop to suit the K44 axle

Great pictures and documentation, thanks! I was going to do this mod awhile back and that's just too much OD ime, their optional tcase with least OD option would seem better imo, but it's not a free mod. I may go with the optional tcase.

I bought the RC4WD OD/UD transfer case, just need to go through it and then install to my TF2. Going with the 17T / 19T combo for 27%.

You've got me having second thoughts now about my OD ratio,
somehow when I calc'd it before it didn't seem that high compared to say OD/UD in an scx10
but looking again 47%OD is quite a bit & is quite different to the Axial ratios
28% OD/UD (13% UD/STD or 13.6% STD/OD for those playing at home)

Just installed mine, 17/19 as well. It actually had a nice amount of grease from the factory.

Ya, sounded great to me at first, then I thought about the ratio using the stock tcase and wow too much imo!
