Left one thing out. There needs to be a Brace on the shackle so the Tab sticking out the back hits it and stops the shackle from opening up all the Way.

Alright I got them today. Things I would change.. 1. The bottom needs to twist. 2. They are to Big... The Width is fine. The length of both top/bottom are to long. 3. There is a Tab to stop them from opening up, but No Brace for the Tab to hit. 4. Take the bend out of the Upper Part. It's not needed and makes seem larger.

I haven't had a chance to E-mail Rc4wd back yet. I'll get to it ASAP. Right now I think these are to big for 1.9'er and maybe even 2.2's. The 1:1 Revolver Shackles don't add any lift. These act as a Lift as well. Which I think is to much and take away from the Scale look. I'll get some Pic's as soon as I can. I have the next 2 days off and will get it done.

Here is what I'm talking about. I'm cutting and brazing the shackles I have trying to get them to look and work right. They would work now, but with out that Tab hitting anything. They would just fold backwards everytime you flexed out. Other then that They just look to big to me. Other may think it's fine. Adding the twisting on the lower shackle would be a huge advantage with these. The twisting helps relieve stress on the springs and helps them last longer. It also frees up binding and flexes more. ![]() notice here the Stop for the Tab.. ![]() The distance here needs to be teh same as the Stock Shackle. ![]() Notice how the Lower shackle is the same angle has the axle itself? This is what helps out the springs. It takes away 1/2 of the springs twisting. Which will make the springs last longer. ![]() I would set the tab so they don't open any farther then what I have shown here. Last edited by run2jeepn; 01-08-2009 at 05:45 AM.

Just an observation, but the only way those shackles stay at that length and not collapse on themselves is due to that white plastic block you see in the center. If that block wasn't there, the shackle would close in on itself. These smaller versions may need them for the same reason...unless the rigs weight factor once you've gotten down in scale is not enough to affect this.
