This is our first attempt to make a lexan scale body. A lots of work still need to be done. But if we success, you can expect us to make a lots of bodies that you guys been wanting for a long time.

And our ultimate goal is to release a full steel sheet metal body this year, we already gained a lots of experience with the Terminator body. So we have a good confident that we can do it. And the first one will be a Jeep body.

hey sweet it actually kinda worked, did you have any problems working with the 3ds mesh or did you haveto kinda rebuild it all?

of course you can do final smoothing of the mould by hand.

I will hurry up and finish that xj for you seeing as this has worked out

the mould looks like moulded plaster or something, and I assume you cnc'd the female mould that it came out of - why not just cnc the male plug from the start?

you mean the wheel arches or all of it? The rest is pretty much true to the real thing except the front looks flatter than it did on the model.
Also Im not sure where copyright fits in if its a perfect reproduction, but I guess it probably allready breaches it.

Vans invent makes something similar. But, they have greatly exaggerated curves.

If you created something in between it would be perfect. The bulged fenders are pretty much what defines the pathfinder. Also hood could use louvers and roof could use lines.

looks like plaster mold, lots of air bubbles in it.

could always try making amold from the Vans body then sand, or cnc if possible, the exaggerated curves out of it. we use to do that with 1/12 scale and oval bodies before Proline came out with their HD bodies.

87-89 2 door in USA only
90-95 4 door in USA only.

There both WD21 models since they use the same chassis.

Both have same wheel base.

I agree it needs some hood vents, fender bulges and creases in the hood.

This is what it looks like after adding fender bulges and detail to the front of the bonnet. If anyone has pics of the 4 door roof that would be good, I raised it at the rear but Im not sure exactly how its meant to look.
Fenders arent the prettiest, but the lighting does make them look weirder than they are.
