Default $100 Price Drop!!! RC4WD 3 Speed $199

Mike emailed me and let me know there was a significant price drop on the 3 Speed transmission and figured I would pass it along to those who let that $300 price stop them from ordering. Maybe $200 is more manageable

i think most of us would still rather see a 12:1 - 16:1 gear reduction for use with t-case's, this section of the market is still void.
something compact you can bolt a 540 to, and have a 5mm driveshaft output shaft.

well that is what the planetary unit was supposed to be, Im not sure what the progress is on that though.
there will most likely be some more realistic options in the distant future also.

There is this option

For 2 different gear ratios.

What ratio are you looking for ?

16 to1 at the tranny outputs? I would agree as well

I dont see why they couldnt make a different ratio selection.

Some do and really its not as big as you may think if you havent seen one in person

I think it would be pretty easy to cut the front output part off that hangs down , lay it on its side and just use the rear output to a 1:1 T-Case . .

Laid on its side it would be the same width as an R2 if you cut that part off

And even better, something that mated up the t-case and looked close to a 1:1 tranny and t-case.

ahh the disrupter, that is what were looking for! make it 16:1 and put that thing into production!

frac get that thing moded to 16:1 (and made smaller if possible) and get the drawings to rc4wd! 5mm out put shaft for driveshafts. we all have there t-case but no way to use them!

if only it was that simple, rc4wd cant make the planetary ring gear at the moment, so we are stuck with the planetary units designed for cordless drills etc.
The reduction does have a 5mm output allready though.

It would be good a bit smaller, but Im sure there will be improvements down the line. Eventually I can imagine a product that looks like a real engine & transmission - with a planetary and transfer inside. That will be a long way away though.
