Default Low Boyz Weighted Beadlock Wheel Rendering

Click the image to open in full size. Mark gave us the idea from floater wheels, Dave finalized the idea.

Please remember this is an early rendering, we expect to have the final design by this weekend. And prototype by next week. And it will spin on two bearings.

Just a thougth:

If you make the holes in the outer ring just a little bigger than the slugs. Then maybe you could add/remove the slugs without ever having to take the wheel apart.

The carrier for the slugs would need to be changed slightly, so that the slugs could slide in from the front and then be locked inplace with a small screw.

I really like the idea behind these wheels, very creative.

Brilliant! Nice to see some active thinking in the Wheel Design Department! "Easy Access" to the slugs would only sweeten the deal as CarboNuts said.

will there be any solid material, holding the center axle nut section to the outer ring? ie the back of the wheel a solid disc?

I would assume they would be designed just like the Bullseye wheels. So yes I would say the back of the wheel will be a "solid disc" as you put it. LOL

sorry guys, but to me the function does not justify the complexity. Don't get me wrong, the idea is creative, I just don't think it has an advantage over normal weighted wheels enough. This may have a better application in the 40 size, but it wasn't stated what size these were either.

it will keep the weight to the borrom of the chassis, so when you are runing up the side of the rocks, when normal fixed weights are on the rig they will have a high and or low weight stap, vs the weight staying as low as it can.... kid of like a sail boat... it stays up cause all the weight is low...

I'd like to see the Center Bracket that holds the weight a 360 Degrees.

What Offsets?

I like the ideal also, would be much quieter then (un-named brand) those damn ball bearings can drive you up a wall. (Pun intended)
what kind of cost do you estimate?

How much weight are we talking here? Does the slug housing ride on a bushing? Could it benefit from bearings?

It looks like the slugs ride on a brass bushing.
