Its been available in black for a long time. The current D40 is HL axle width as it is basically a re-cased HL axle. I am thinking about doing a version of this axle that is slightly (1-2mm) narrower than TLT width with a few improvements

these are sick looking!! is there a way to put a scale looking hole and screw in the front for filling the diff fluids in there? some thing like that would be a big plus!!!

So for the width are we all happy with 2mm (1mm per side) less than TLT width?

sounds good. i wouldnt object to 2mm narrower per side though 4mm total. might make it more worth your time, you can always go wider with wheels or spacers, its going narrow thats tough.

Dont think I can squeeze out another mm each side cos I need space for the damper mount and I want keep space for the current U bolt kit too. Its still worth doing as they will be 8mm narrower in total than the current D40/HL axle. Plus I will offset the front pumpkin a little bit more and a few other changes that will make them more usable.
