A extended version of the TXT-1 Punisher Shaft and TLT-1 Punisher Shaft will be available late Nov or early Dec. ----------------------------------- We will do some major Holiday give away (Treasure Hunt) on December 10-11. And our goal is to have at least 15 new products launched by Christmas, I am very excited to see those products coming up. We are also working on a rockcrawling chassis/truck that is like no other out there, it wont be just a few plates with a different design. And there will be many unique innovative products for MadForce, Stampede, E-Maxx coming next month too. ----------------------------------- I must admit that there were some orders that we handled poorly, but I am doing a lots of things to improve it. One thing is that we stock a lots of items that we make, for example the gear reduction units, we made 200 of them (each one of them has 6 parts, not counting screws). Also solid links, we made 4000 them last week, I dont think most other small or medium size companies would invest so much money just to avoid out of stock issues. I am also outsourcing my shipping for any products sold on rcrockcrawling.com to another company in Oakland (home of the raiders), we will start training and testing this Sunday. Hopefully this will ease a little bit the shipping turn around time during the holiday season (it will reverse back to us after the holiday). I also started take customer complains accountable to each person who processed the order. Last week, we forgot to ship one order to this customer and it was delayed by 1 week, so we shipped the customer the order via overnight and refunded the entire order of $90. And that lost will be taken from my and employee's pay check. Of course I also believe that, there will always be some sort of delay issues in the future due to many factors. One thing is that we work with so many suppliers, sometimes they just cant send us enough parts. Looking at the gear reduction units, we got plenty in stock, but we couldn't get enough robinson racing gears (tower also sold out of the 20T), so quite a few customer were experiencing delay in the last 10 days. In terms of fast shipping, I am still trying to get to ship all orders within 2-3 days. Most the time small orders (1-3 itmes) will get shipped within the same day, larger orders (4-10 items) will get shipped in 2-4 days and any custom build orders will take a little bit longer, depends on what we need to do. I wish I could just go hire more people, but here in California, an employee with computer skills and rc knowledge is not cheap at all. Plus you have to pay benefits and worker comp. RC4WD is already 3 years old, I shipped the first order out on October 11, 02. So much has changed, I still kept the old website on our server (http://www.rc4wd.com/indexBackup.html). I still remember when I got my first RC car back when I was 15, it was a Tamiya Grass Hopper, back then I was still living in the mountains in a small village in Swizterland. I would have never imagined that I will own a RC company and come to America to do this. But of course with a lots of support from you guys and those amazing partner companies (Thundertech Racing, Xtreme Racing, Vertigo Performance, RC Guy, New Era, GPM, Walawala) that helped me to get started, RC4WD would never have existed. Because I do manufacuturing in house, I have been helping a few RC companies making products too, most of those products are sold to them at cost or only a hair higher. And I also donated my web server space and software tools to a few companies as well. I also did a lots of improvement on the server performance side, if you check our our new site at rcrockcrawling.com or valavala.com before, you will see how fast it load. That's running on our second dedicated server located in UK. I still have a lots of plans in the future and I also want to say thanks to my entire team, my Manufacturing Project Manager, my CAD engineer and the shipping guy. Without them, there wont be nearly that many products coming out each month. Check our my forum or website often guys and I will post pics of new products very soon. And dont forget to mark your calendar for the Holiday giveaway on December 10-11 (You wouldn't want to miss that)! thanks, -Hua @ RC4WD |
