Ah man that's sweet."thumbsup"

Now to show you how the Predator attacks...

Started with my Cross Canyon JK with 1.9 Baja Claws...

http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...-43-26_615.jpg

First step is to open the cage and let the Predator out...it includes the tracks. Adapters are specific to axles. Currently there are adapters for the Axial AX10/SCX10 Axles. More will be coming.

http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...-46-34_139.jpg
http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...-47-02_462.jpg

The front adapter includes special high clearance knuckles, Tie rod, draglink and aluminum hexes.
http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...-47-48_997.jpg

As you can see there are tabs on the knuckles to keep the Tracks from spinning around.
http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...-47-57_873.jpg

Here's a comparison of the stock knuckle and the Predator Knuckle.
http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...1-00-57_58.jpg

And here it is installed
http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...-07-20_814.jpg

You will need to use the tie rod being that the knuckles create a wider distance.

To mount the tracks, you remove the cap to expose the mounting...

Great video, those are to cool. "thumbsup"

Rckcrwlr 12-12-2011 07:31 PM

Next is the rear axle. Same deal, the Predator Rear Adapters have the tabs.
http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...-39-31_372.jpg
http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...-39-50_577.jpg

here they are installed.
http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...1-42-20_58.jpg

And here they are completely installed.

I would suggest that you add a little Blue Thread Lock on the Silver caps to keep them from loosening up.

Didn't have time to add brushless but by the time the snow falls, it will have CowBell to skim over the snowdrifts...

can you post up some install close ups. I am curious what alows the tracks to pivot but not flip completely over?what keeps them from doing wheelies onto the rear end of the track each time you accelerate?

SO I am guessing these would not be comp legal? due to not being 1.9 or 2.2? would be fun addition to comps though

Rckcrwlr 12-13-2011 11:45 AM

Referring back to the installation of the first couple posts, there are tabs on the adapters that fit in notches on the tracks.

How is the track tension adjusted? If the frontmost wheel pair is shimmed, does the track set come with different thickness shimms?
